Welp, ya boi is upset about this boi. Spoiler alert!!! Also whoever requested this, I love you. This was a beautiful prompt. And I was specifically told "not too much chub, just a lil bit if you know what I'm talking about?" So yes, I shall do this for you!! Also at the time I'm adding this sentence, I am only halfway (if that) through this and I'm having way too much fun.

You had known him before. He was in your class in Middle School, usually sticking up for you when bullies got bad and you admired his courage for it. He didn't even have to threaten the fact that his father was a police officer. He was scary enough when he wanted to be.

You were found after the inestation had started. Rick told you afterwards that it was because of a distress signal from your parents asking Alexandria for help. Your (father/mother) had hidden you in the cellar when the house was set to fire, another group of people attempting to get rid of "the walkers" that were in the house. They knew it was your family, both families rivaling for the property and the enemy decided to burn it down.

You soon realized one of the hardest things you had to do was smash your parent's head in with a crowbar. You got sent into shock, which caused some sort of attack and you couldn't breathe. That's when Rick and Daryl found you. You were curled in the corner of the concrete cellar, shaking from the cold of the room and rocking back and fourth as your nails dug into your neck. Rick tried getting you up in a rush but that freaked you out more. Daryl pulling a soldier move didn't help either.

Carl came down with his gun drawn, aiming down at the ground but holstering it when he saw you and what state you were in. "Dad, stop." He scoffed a bit, pushing past Daryl to get to you and he crouched slowly in front of you as you flinched away. He let out a low shushing sound, holding his arms out as if asking for a hug, but he was trying to keep you safe in one place. He recognized you, and you recognized him. His bright blue eyes were unforgettable, and you felt yourself drawn to him more than other people. His presence was like a sense of comfort before the outbreak, and you realized it still was after the few years.
