Saturday morning there was much chatter and excitement in the castle as everyone was talking about their Valentine's day plans. Sirius and Peter has already gone down to breakfast, while James and Remus were still in the common room preparing for the day. James thought this was the perfect opportunity to talk to Remus about something very important. "Remus I have something to tell you" he said a little nervously. Remus nodded for him to continue. "Someone we know very well likes you,". James says, and to his surprise Remus seemed quite calm. "Well I'd hope all of my friends like me. It wouldn't be much of a friendship if they hated me," he says. James sighs, being a little annoyed. "When I say like, I mean like-like. Remus you're obviously not getting this at all. Someone we're good friends with has a crush on you," James says not try trying to hide his annoyance. Remus laughs and says, "James I know it's Valentine's day and you've some how convinced Lily to go on a date with you, but that doesn't qualify you to mess with your single friends,". At this point James was extremely annoyed with Remus. "Remus! Sirius is in love with you, what do you not understand? He was planning on telling you while studying but figured you wouldn't feel the same" James becomes quiet for a second. "Oops, I shouldn't have said that out loud. Oh well, I only promised no to tell anyone if I didn't need to, which I did. You obviously wouldn't have realised, and Sirius obviously wouldn't have told you. So, you look very surprised which could be a bad thing. How exactly do you feel now that you know this?" He asked. Remus looked really surprised, which worried James a lot. Had Sirius been right?  He thought to himself. Remus took a deep breath in and said, "Sirius is an amazing person, and I have no idea why he'd like me. I'm lucky enough that he's my friend. I would have never thought that he would like me. I don't know why he'd like me. He deserves someone a lot better than me. Are you sure he ment me?". James grinned broadly and says, "Yes I'm sure, and it seems like Sirius has nothing to worry about." Remus looks slightly confused as he says, "I still think Sirius deserves someone better than me. He must have meant someone else. And what do you mean by Sirius has nothing to worry about?". James didn't see a point in telling him, thinking Remus would deny it anyway. After you few minutes of silence James bids Remus a farewell before he leaves to meet up with Peter.
