Chapter 6
Properly.

I woke up with my phone ringing loudly in the side table. I turn in the automatic clock to see what time is it and yes! it is already seven in the morning. I grabbed my phone and saw that Antonette was the one calling me.

Bakit ang aga naman nitong tumawag? I bet it is something important...for her to call me this early. I pressed the answer botton, and I heard a deep sigh from the other line.

"Hello" medyo paos ko pang sabi.

"Liana! Bakit ang tagal mo namang sumagot? I was calling you the whole freaking hour you bitch!" she spat over the phone. Is it my fault that she's calling in the early hour of the day.

"Sorry naman ha! Ang aga mo naman kasi tumawag. It should be something important." bumangon na ako mula sa kama.

"It is! Yesterday after I finish having a salon Gervin called me and invited me to a party in the Valkyrie!" she tell. Ano toh! Iniingit niya ba ako? Gagang toh!

"Are you making me jealous because you've both gone in a party and I was not?" nagtaas ako ng kilay kahit na hindi naman niya makikita. I heard that she frowned a bit on the other line.

"Can I finish first? You brat!" I said okay and she continued. "And guess what! Your ex was there, drunk. I went on him and when he saw me, he started throwing me questions about you and where are you?"

"And what did you s-say Antonette." fuck! I was stammering in the thought of him. And what if this girl said something reliable for him about me.

"I just said that you are not there with me and that you are cool with your past." I sigh in relief.

"And Zarus keep calling your name. He's so drunk that time and he keeps on telling me how he's sorry and that you misunderstood all that happened." and there I was stunned. What was he talking about?

"I misunderstood what, Antonette?" I asked confused. "Okay don't answer. I clearly know what I saw that night. At hindi na mababago ang nangyaring yun."

"B-but aren't you confused even a bit." I'm confused too. I wanted to tell her that but I refused too, she might conclude that I still care for what we lost.

"Let's not talk about this Antonette. Pagusapan na lang natin ang nangyari sayo kahapon." at doon nga lang gumaan ang usapan naming dalawa. She told me about where'd she go and what she do the whole day. Until she hunged up telling me she has something to do.

I took a shower and ate my breakfast alone. The household said Tito and Tita already ate and leave going to the plantation while Aqui and his friends are still asleep.

I am now in the balcony reading some magazines when my phone suddenly beeped for a message. At first I thought it was mom or Antonette but I was wrong. And for a second I was just starring at his message.

From: Zarus

I miss you!

And that brings back all the memory that I wasn't able to forget.

"He hasn't called you yet?" tanong ni Antonette at umupo sa tabi ko. I nod and starred at my phone again, waiting for his text.

"Siguro busy lang dahil may project pa din daw silang ipapasa sa major sub' nila  eh! with his groupmates. But do you think he has a surprise for me?" it's our seventh monthsary today, mula pa kagabi ay di pa niya ako tinatawagan or tini-text man lang. I am not clingy but it is so unussual of him.
