Twenty-one part 1

Adrienne

I woke up to Trey shaking me.

"Baby get up."He said

"Mm okay."I sat up and rubbed my eyes

He went and walked into the boys room.I got up and went to the bathroom.I got out the shower and looked at the time.Gotta hurry.I got dressed and flat ironed my hair then put on some make up.I walked in the room and Trey was getting dressed with his back turned to me.I walked to him and wrapped my arms around his waist.

"Happy birthday baby!"I smiled

"Thank you babe."He turned around and kissed me

A small smile spread across his face.

"You ready?"He asked buttoning his shirt

"Uhh yeah."I said as he grabbed his tie

I took it from him and started to put it on him.He looked down at me and licked his lips.I finished his tie and he threw on his jacket.We went into the boys room and got them.Surprisingly Trey had them all dressed and everything.I smiled and kissed their foreheads.I got Ashton and Trey got Xavier and we headed out of the room and to the elevator.

When we got inside I put Ashton's carseat and baby bag down for a minute.

"Your son is heavy Trey."I said

He chuckled."Why is he only my son?"

"He's a daddy's boy anyway."I rolled my eyes

"Aww you're jealous baby?"He asked

"Oh whatever."I said

We got out the elevator and went to the car.We stopped at Mumma's house to drop off the boys and headed to the funeral.The closer we got the more nervous I got.Malik's mother does not like me AT ALL.To say the least so I know I will have to hear her mouth.But I wouldn't miss this for the world.I just wish our goodbye could have different.We pulled up and I stayed still.

"...Adrienne baby we gotta go."Trey said to me grabbing my hand and kissing it

I nodded and got out.He grabbed my hand and we walked inside.We walked toward the casket and my heart was beating faster by the second.I felt like I couldn't breathe.The casket was closed so I just placed my hand on it and whispered "I love you so much.". We took a seat and walked past his family when his mother rolled her eyes at me and scoffed.I sighed and continued looking forward as the funeral began.

1 1/2 hours later

They let people start to go up and say a few words.I knew this was the only way to let him know how i truly feel no matter what anyone had to say.I went up to the podium and began to speak.

"Umm hello.My name is Adrienne and I am Malik's ex girlfriend.I would just like to say that Malik was a really sweet person.He was always someone I could be honest with and trust without judgement.We did have our differences but I knew we loved each other.He was my bestfriend..well really my only friend for a long time and I just can't believe he....*starts crying* Im sorry.I just can't believe he's gone.And I just want him to know that I love him so so much and I really appreciate everything he has done for me."I said before walking back to my seat next to Trey

He held me by my waist and wiped my eyes.The service ended and Mrs.Simmons made sure she said something to me before I left.

"Adrianna darling how are you?"She said

"Adrienne and in fine thank you."I said as calmly as possible

"Oh whatever.So who is your friend?"She asked turning her attention to Trey
