The rain pours down around me, it drips down my top and it rushes over my head, but right now, I couldn't care less.
Matt's lips move effortlessly against mine and we settle into a gentle, easy rhythm. I wrap my arms around his neck and he lifts me up off the ground in ease. I wrap my legs around his waist and he intensifies the kiss. I feel like I'm clinging onto to him for dear life and there is so much adrenaline running through my veins.
I swear to god there are sparks going off inside of me and I feel this hunger that I have never experienced with Nathan, ever. I suddenly gasp in shock and pull away from Matt quickly. He looks at my in confusion before his eyes look at me apologetically.
He lets me go and I take a few deep breaths, trying to regain my breath. Oh my god, what did I just do? Wait, hold up, did he just say that he loved me? Just as I am about to question him, he looks off into the distance and squints his eyes. I frown at him and his eyes widen suddenly.
"Shit!" He says before running his hand through his now soaked hair.
I turn to see what he is looking at and I instantly recognise the car sitting just behind mine. The rain is quite heavy, but I would know that car anywhere. Guilt spreads throughout my whole body and I feel sick to my stomach.
"Abby." Matt mumbles from beside me but I ignore him, finding myself walking towards Nathan's car.
I squint through the rain to make sure I don't run into anything and as soon as I get to his car, Nathan opens the door with an un-readable expression pasted on his face.
"Nathan." I squeak through the rain.
I can feel myself shaking uncontrollably and I only just notice that I am absolutely freezing. I grab onto Nathan's arm but he just shrugs me off as he gets out of his car. I take a couple of steps backwards as he slams his car door and makes his way through the rain up to Matt. Oh fuck, this is not going to be good. I run through the rain, following Nathan up to where Matt is and I swear if looks good kill Matt would be dead a millon times by now. Just as I'm about to question Nathan's motives, he decides to speak.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" he growls through his clenched teeth.
Matt looks so calm as he replies, which makes me cringe.
"I was kissing Abby, Nathan. What did you think I was doing?"
I literally think Nathan growls under his breath and he then takes another step closer to Matt. I can feel my heart begin to beat widely in my chest and my breath begins to quicken. Oh my god. Shit. Fuck.
"Well don't do it again, ass hole. You have no right in kissing her, so stay the fuck away, or you will be sorry." he threatens is such a venomous tone, that I literally wince.
Why is he acting like this? He practically did the same thing to me, but unlike him, I waited untill we weren't together. Technically he can't act like this because we aren't even bloody together anymore!
Matt smirks and folds his arms across his chest, visibly making Nathan even more pissed off.
"Matt, just walk away!" I say, trying to make my voice loud but the rain just completely fades my voice out.
Matt completely ignores me, or maybe he just didn't hear me but whatever it is, he steps closer to Nathan, making them only inches apart.
"What are you going to do Nathan? Go on, show off your impressive skills. You and me both know she is over you now." Matt taunts with a wide smirk.
I can tell what's going to happen before it does, and it scares the shit out of me. Matt has pushed him too far and now Nathan is going react. Nathan goes to walk away before turning around quickly and punches Matt right in the jaw. A scream erupts from my mouth and Matt stumbles backwards.
