Demi's pov:
When I first started dating Lauren I never thought it would last, so I never thought about the future. The thing is, our relationship did last. I always wanted kids, but with Lauren being my girlfriend I couldn't have a biological one.
After being two years together we decided to adopt a girl.
The good thing with adopting is that you can choose their age. Most people want children from a young age. Me and Lauren wanted a teenager. Having to care for a baby was difficult with my career now, so having an older child was easier for me.
"Are you ready?" Lauren asked me when we parked in front of the adoption centre. "Never been more ready." I smiled and went inside.
Allison's pov:
My life has always been complicated. A lot has happened. At the age of 10, I lost my mom from cancer. Two years later, my dad became an alcoholic and abused me in almost every way if you know what I mean. This continued until I was 14.
I didn't say anything to anyone, because I knew I had no other family members and didn't want to be put in a foster care. One day a police office came over, because the neighbours heard yelling. My dad got caught and now I'm here. In an adoption centre.
I had only been here for 2 months, which was long for me, but short for the others. Most kids are already here from their birth. The kids here are alright. It's not like in the movies, but me being the new kid, didn't make friends. Out of my experiences I learned not to trust anyone.
Today someone is coming to adopt one of us. Most people wants children from a young age. Me being a screwed up teenager, don't set my hopes too high.
