That was when it started raining. At first it came down as a drizzle but then it started progressing into a heavier rain.

"Come on. Let's go find some shelter." He said quickly, clutching on to my hand.

"I'm going home!" I said.

"Don't tell me you're going to drive all the way back to Seoul in this rain!"

He was right. I didn't say anything.

"Thought so." He said and ran with my hand in his. I struggled to keep up with him.

We went to a small outbuilding made of straw and twigs, but it was enough to shelter us from the rain. We straightened out our clothes and hair. That was when he asked me, "Now you know why I called him a leech, right?"

"Yup." I did know. "But why? It's just what he is. Although it's a vampire."

"I'm not actually his biggest fan." He replied.

"Huh. So you're saying you don't like him."

"Hmm."

"Why exactly? Cause you seem okay with the idea of him being a vampire."

"Well. He apparently seems a bit too close to a girl I like."

"Oh." He was close to a girl. Was she in our school? I probably wouldn't like her. The thought of him with a girl sent a jolt of ache through me, first of all because I obviously liked him and second of all I knew what he was now. A vampire, but not a really dangerous one. Or was he?

"She makes my heart beat faster than it ever has. I don't know if she feels the same way. I'm pretty sure she likes Jimin too." He said. The last one made me gasp. Seonghwa noticed it. He was at my side and moved a strand of hair from my face, "What is it?!"

"Uhm. It's nothing" I lied.

"I can see what you mean. The last sentence was what made you gasp, am I right?"

I was aching way too much to deny the truth. "Hmm." I said.

"Just as I thought." He said, grinning my favourite boyish smile.

"Huh?" I asked surprised. Was it obvious that I liked Jimin even before I knew it for myself?

"I knew it. I knew she liked him" he said, gloom clearly visible in his tone.

"Wait, wha-...Ohhh!!! Seonghwa I-"

"Nope. Don't. Don't be sorry."

"I had no idea!!! I'm really sorry." I really was.

"Nah its fine! You didn't know. And anyways he's a better guy than I am. A good vampire. A better friend, I guess." he said and smiled a smile sad, looking away from me.

"What no! Don't say that! You're one of my closest friends now!"

"Yeah, right. Is that why you got angry at me over the phone today?" he asked.

"Seonghwa, NO!" I said, my voice breaking off, a tear in my eye." I didn't mean to. It was just a reflex. You know how amazing vampires look. I just happen to be another girl who fell for it. Just happened to be another Bella Swan. "By the time I finished saying this I started crying, ever so slightly.

"Hyun! I didn't mean to hurt you! Oh no, please don't cry" he said hugging me and pulling me closer to him. "It's going to be fine. I know it. It doesn't matter who you like. Let the best man win!"

I liked the way he called me Hyun. It was somewhat special.

"Are you turning this into some sort of competition?" I asked punching him lightly in his stomach, good-humouredly. I was still in his arms, which was unusually warm for a human.

"Yep. I think I am." He said. I could feel the grin in his tone. "Ugh! Not one minute alone!" he said and let go of me. What was he talking about? I turned over to see two guys walking towards us fully wet. They were wearing shorts and hoodies, both black. Hoodies in the rain?  They both were roughly the same height, a half a dozen inches taller than me and just one or two than Seonghwa. By his reaction, I guessed that they were his friends.
