Hawk Moth had released another akuma. He had managed to get away from Cat Noir long enough to complete the spell, but Cat Noir was still trying to figure out where the butterfly had come from. None of the heroes could do anything to stop it, so they let it fly away and focused their efforts on getting Hawk Moth's miraculous.

Thanks to Rena Rouge and Ladybug, Natalie was handcuffed and locked up in the back of a police car, so King Monkey was helping Carapace with Princess Fragrance.

Princess Fragrance had almost gotten the best of them when she'd let out a stink bomb the size of France, but Pegasus had saved the day by teleporting it all away. His time was running out though, so the heroes fought with more vigor to end the battle.

Suddenly, but not unexpectedly, several Volpina's fell out of the sky.

"Miss me?" They chorused. Cat Noir rolled his eyes.

"This is getting so old." He mumbled to himself.

King Monkey wasn't about to put up with twenty of the same villain. He swung his staff around and released it; it flew through the air like a boomerang. Each Volpina it hit disappeared in a puff of smoke until there was only one left. King Monkey's staff flew back to him; once he caught it, he instantly ran at Volpina, and they began to fight.

Cat Noir was struggling under the weight of Hawk Moth. The villain had pushed him back, and he'd tripped and fallen. Hawk Moth's staff was bearing heavily down upon him.

Cat Noir kicked crazily. He managed to get Hawk Moth to move some, and he took the opportunity to roll out from under the villain.

He ran at Hawk Moth, and their weapons clashed. Hawk Moth pushed against Cat Noir, but the hero held his own.

"Stop!" Someone yelled. Cat Noir turned toward the new voice. A tall, slender woman was leaning on Rena Rouge. She had bright green eyes that countered her pale complexion. Cat Noir gasped as he recognized his mother.

Hawk Moth had forgotten their duel entirely. He slowly started to walk toward her.

"Emilie?" He whispered.

Emilie let go of Rena Rouge and slowly, shakily, she made her way toward Hawk Moth.

Hawk Moth dropped his cane, then he was full out sprinting toward Emilie. When they reached each other, he embraced her tightly.

"My love." He cried into her golden hair.

"I'm here, Gabriel." She wrapped her arms around him. "I'm here."

Cat Noir had his own tears welling up in his eyes. He wanted so badly to embrace his long lost mother, but he knew he couldn't. Right now, he had to be Cat Noir.

Emilie had pulled away from Hawk Moth, and she'd started to survey the situation around them. The battle had come to a halt once she'd appeared, but she still looked on with disapproval.

"I'm so sorry." Hawk Moth said. He unclipped his miraculous and threw it on the ground. Volpina and Princess Fragrance turned back into themselves, and Emilie smiled with approval.

"I forgive you." She told him. Gabriel leaned down and kissed her. The crowd cheered.

"They are sweet, aren't they?" Rena Rouge said. Cat Noir looked over at her.

"Yeah. Where's Ladybug? I thought she was with you?"

"She was; I thought she'd be back by now. Oh well, she'll be here in a minute."
