Lennox and I sat for a couple more hours, just chatting about everything and anything like we usually did.

After a while, we got bored and used Zane relentlessly to drive us around to spots around town that we hadn't been to in a while. Today had felt surprisingly carefree, freeing. I hadn't realised how much I needed my best friend in my life until he had truly disappeared. Things happened for a reason and this entire situation with Lennox was a reminder to be grateful for everything you had, to not take it for granted.

When we got bored of driving aimlessly and when Zane got bored of us, Lennox asked him to drop us off at one last stop.

"Why are we here? Are you still hungry?" I asked Lennox as we pulled up outside some restaurant.

"Marcelo asked if we were free and wanted to grab some food?" He said innocently and I rolled my eyes.

"Since when were you so close to that troublemaker?"

"Getting jealous, dork?" He teased and I couldn't help but shove him.

"Just don't let him rub off on you - that one is a menace."

"That's what my mum said about you and look where we are today."

I stopped in my tracks.

"Your mum said that about me? I'm literally an angel. What do you mean?"

He stopped too and quirked an eyebrow at me.

"You are no angel - I'll tell you that for sure," He started before turning around and walking to the entrance, "More like the de-"

"Do not finish that sentence, Lennie," I growled, ready to hit him with my fists this time.

All he did was laugh and I shook my head.

"Your mum didn't really say that about me, did she?" I tried again.

But he wasn't going to give in, "Come on, Darcy."

As soon as I stepped in, I realised that this wasn't a usual restaurant and all thoughts of Lennox's mum left my mind. The interior was dark, the lighting low and there was a very chill vibe in here. It was almost like a cafe, bar, restaurant sort of thing.

Lennox led us around the corner, where Marcelo and Archer sat in an armchair alongside Maia and Reed? What a surprise.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked them.

Maia shrugged and laughed, looking away. It was Reed that answered my question.

"I've spent so much time with them recently; it honestly felt weird not seeing them."

"Reedy baby missed us," Marcelo sang from his corner.

Reed looked so indifferent, that I couldn't help the laugh that fell from my lips. This was cute - very wholesome, slightly weird.

But after a moment, I realised someone was missing. Dorran wasn't here.

"Where's Dorran?" I asked and Archer looked at me with a smirk on his usually glacial face.

"Waiting for you," he answered, only making me more confused.

"Urm, what?"

Reed shot an exasperated look at the other blonde in the group before he approached me.

"What the idiot was trying to say was that Dorran is waiting for you at his. Come on, I'll take you."

I just nodded at him before following him to his car, shouting goodbye to all of my friends who all looked enraptured in clapping on the verbal fight that started between Lennox and Marcelo. Who was winning? I think the answer to that was pretty obvious.
