My eyes opened slowly and I sat up in bed. Kakashi wasn't beside me; making me feel uneasy.

"Don't worry Ai. This is just a dream."

I groaned, "Does this mean you're going to kill me again?"

Riku chuckled, "No. I was just trying to warn you back then. I should've known you'd be too stubborn to listen to obvious signs."

I crossed my arms in front of my chest and he sat on the edge of my bed.

"Why are you still with him?," I hoped we'd have plenty of time to talk before I woke up.

He sighed and stared at the wall in front of him, "Remember; I had a family before I ended up with Orochimaru. I thought he had killed everyone."

I came to the realization quickly, "He's using one of them against you isn't he?"

He nodded his head slowly, "My sister. I've been trying to figure out how to save her. So I've been staying with him; doing as he asks."

"I'm sorry Riku. I'll help you. I plan to kill him before I-," I stumbled over my words.

"Before what?"

I cleared my throat, "I'm getting married Riku."

A pained look flashed over his face before it faded into a cold expression, "He's taken so much from me Ai."

I touched his shoulder gently, "He's taken from both of us; and he will pay. I swear it."

Our eyes locked on each other and I could see a glint in his eyes.

"That should've been me asking for your hand in marriage."

A tear streaked down his face, "The land of rivers. Come and I'll find you."

When I woke up; I was crying as well. They weren't sad tears though; they were angry ones.
I couldn't wait to end Orochimaru.

"Are you okay darlin'?"

I wiped my eyes, "Yeah, I saw Riku again. Sans the killing."

"Oh? What did he say?," he rubbed my leg to soothe me.

"Orochimaru has his sister. That's the only reason he hasn't left. He hasn't been able to free her yet."

He grabbed my hand, "We'll help him. Together."

I nodded, "Thank you Kakashi."

He gave me a closed eyed smile, "Now let's go check in with Tsunade."

~

"The land of rivers? He's getting rather bold with his locations. Yeah, you and Kakashi can leave together first thing in the morning," she waved her hand at us.

We both bowed and I spoke, "Thank you Lady Tsunade."

"Yeah yeah. Hatake, you're dismissed."

"What about me?"

"You stay. We're finishing where we left off last night."

Kakashi raised his eyebrow at us and I just shrugged.

He returned the shrug, "I'll see you at home then."

As soon as the door shut behind him; I turned back to Tsunade. She had a new sake bottle sitting on the desk and a devilish smile on her face.

Kakashi probably should've stayed 😅

~A few shots of sake later~

"So I get to plan your bachelorette party right?," Tsunade's face was tinted red.

I giggled, "I don't think the hokage should be planning such an event."

"HEY. I'M the hokage. Why can't I?"

"Yeah and you'll technically be a priestess by then."

She frowned, "Oh shit."

I burst into a laughing fit over something I thought.

"WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING ABOUT?"

I could barely breathe, "FATHER TSUNADE."

We stared at each other silently for a minute; and then we both started laughing.
We were enjoying ourselves so much that we didn't even hear the door opening.

"You two are a mess together."

Tsunade and I both jumped up in attack stances. Well; sort of. I staggered and she faced the wrong way.

Jiraiya started laughing and we both relaxed. "It's just you," Tsunade grumbled.

"Hey! What is that supposed to mean?," he whined making me start giggling again.

"Exactly what I said! You're no threat Jiraiya," she rolled her eyes.

They started griping at each other and I spaced out. I started daydreaming about food.

Mmm Ramen.

"(Y/n)?"

Or some dango.

"Shorty?"

Barbecue-

"(Y/N)!"

I fell on my face and groaned, "Tsunade. You're scary when you yell."

"Where's Kakashi?," Jiraiya helped me to my feet.

"He went home; hokage's orders," I motioned to Tsunade.

"Well do you need me to help you home?"

I didn't answer, I just climbed onto his back and wrapped my arms around his neck.

"I'll take that as a yes, I'll be back Tsunade."

I buried my face in his hair and we started moving.

After a few minutes of silence Jiraiya asked me, "So, I heard Hatake finally popped the question."

I lifted my head so he could hear me, "Yeah. After I kill Orochimaru; we're gonna get officially married."

"What about that guy? Riku."

"I'm going to help him; but he doesn't change anything Jiraiya."

The rest of the walk was silent; which I was thankful for.

I wasn't in the right mindset to worry about anything right now.

"Oh, Jiraiya?," I heard Kakashi's voice.

"I brought you a drunken gift," Jiraiya replied.

I felt my two favorite hands grab me and I ended up throwing myself into his arms.

"Mmmm, my baby," I murmured into his neck.

"Thank you Jiraiya," I heard the door close and we moved further into the house.
I felt the warmth of his body get replaced by my bed, "Nooo, don't go," I grabbed his arm before he could move off the bed.

He didn't fight me thankfully. He just let me hold him and run my fingers through his hair.

"Did you have fun with Tsunade?," his voice sounded so calm.

"Yes; but I couldn't stop thinking about you... and food." He laughed.

"God I love hearing you laugh Kashi."

He squeezed me, "Thank you for loving me."

He sat up just enough to look at me. His mask was down showing me the cute blush that was lucky enough to grace his face.

I kissed him, "Always will."
