Hayami

I dodged every attack she threw my way.

"HAYMAMI PLEASE."

No response; just more attacks followed. It was like she was a zombie.

"It's no use Hitomi," he made sure his voice carried over the sound of her attacks,"You see, Hayami stayed closely by my side for quite some time. She's experienced twice as much as you have."

My heart lurched. I had hope that I could snap her out of it; but now I wasn't so sure anymore. I had avoided releasing my kagune; but now I needed to really act. She may be stronger than me; but I had to try something.
When her kagune came flying back at me, I used mine to catch it and hold it still. Her face finally showed some emotion then. A sneer, but I'd take it. I yanked her towards me and caught her in my arms. I wrapped my arms and legs around her tightly.

"Hayami! Listen! I don't want to fight you; but I will if this continues. Please stop!"

She stayed silent; but she jumped high into the air. At first I was confused, but then I realized we were dropping down; my body first. I didn't have time to move; so I braced myself for impact.
As soon as my body connected with the floor, I released her. She took this opportunity to pin me down and start assaulting my upper body with her fist. She was definitely strong and she was definitely ready to kill me. Sister or not; I couldn't let that happen.

When her right fist came flying down to connect with my face; I readied myself to grab a finger with my teeth. Bingo.

The force of her yanking her hand back and the strength of my bite caused her finger to rip straight off. She still made no noise but she jumped back holding where her finger should be. I made my way to my feet. I was slightly bloody and bruised but no real damage to prevent me from fighting.
She kept eye contact with me as she walked over to a torch hanging on the wall. She shoved her bloody numb in the fire to cauterize it.

Kind of a barbaric way to do it.

"You would eat your own sister?," her voice was sweet sounding. Even though I remembered her existing; I couldn't remember what she sounded like.

"Oh, so she can speak," she was more like our dad than I wanted to admit, "I had to stop you somehow."

"Yes, but you could've spit my finger out."

I shrugged, "it's been awhile since I've actually eaten; can you blame me?"

She smirked, "You're a monster like me (y/n). Why don't you just stop this and stay with us. We'd be a brilliant team."

I rolled my eyes, "I may be a monster; but I've found people that still love me. They don't see a monster when they look at me. And I'll protect them with my life."

"Tch, a shame really."

"Let's get this over with so I can get back to my real family." I knew that was a low blow; but it was true. I lost her the day he took her away from me.

We clashed together in the middle of the room. We were at equal strength it seemed. We landed every hit on each other but neither staggered. I needed to find an opening of some sort.

She swung her fist around and I managed to duck down and dodge it. Perfect.
I kicked her as hard as I could in the chin. That definitely caught her off guard. She ended up flying backwards into the chair Orochimaru was sitting in; shattering it into pieces. I couldn't give her a chance to recuperate. I followed after her and as she tried to get up; I kneed her in the face. She fell backwards and I jumped on top of her.
My fist ached as I hit her. She began to cough up blood and used that to her advantage. She spit the blood in my eyes and I fell backwards off of her. I managed to jump back just in case while I cleaned my eyes.

When my vision cleared; I grimaced at the sight of her. I could only imagine how ghastly I looked then. I was going to attack again; but then I saw him move behind her.

What was he-, my thought got interrupted by the sight of him shoving his hand through her back and straight out of her abdomen.

"She was losing, and I was running out of patience. Good thing she's not as blessed as you are with healing," he removed his hand and jumped back.

She stared at me as blood and tears streamed down her face. She stuttered my name and reached out for me.

My body acted on it's on. I ran toward her as fast as I could and put hands connected. Our fingers intertwined and I pulled her into my arms.

We fell to the ground together and I held her in my lap. I did my best to wipe the blood from her face, "Hayami. I'm sorry."

She gave me a weak smile, "I love you (y/n)."

Her heart stopped beating.

Tears began to fall from my eyes and onto her face.

He took her from me. He's taken everything from me. No more.

NO MORE.
