CHAPTER 8- The Prophecy!

Lexxy POV.-

"I love you."

For a minuite everything was quite. I did not know what to say. I was not ready for this. Sure, I loved him back but...

I started to panic. Relax Lexxy... I closed my eyes and took deep breaths. I opened my eyes and saw that Alex was still there, waiting for my reaction. I didn't want to hurt him. But I also didn't wanna accept. I decided to leave.

I took a few steps back before turning around and heading towards the beach.

I didn't turn back but I could hear the tears falling from Alex's eyes. I could feel the pain he felt but I just ran away.

Once I was in the beach, I sat down and cried for what seemed like hours...

Annabeth POV.-

When Alex came and asked for my help to get ready, I was very happy to see that he was happy. I gave him a speech about how he should behave.

But when he came back sobbing, my heart broke, literally.

I asked him what was wrong. He said, "She doesn't like me."

I sat next to him. There was no one in the cabin cause everyone were busy having a reunion with their old friends.

I brought him closer to my chest, "What happened?"

"I gave her a tour of the camp," He began. "I said I loved her but she just walked away..." His voice broke as he said the last part.

"Okay," I nodded. "Relax... just don't be late for dinner. I will be back."

He tried to protest but I had already left the room. I need to have a talk with Lexxy.

~TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE GOD OF TIME SKIP MUAHAHAHHAHAHA~

I found Lexxy sitting on the beach with her head in between her knees. Wait! Why was she crying? As soon as I saw her, all my anger evaporated.

I walked towards her and sat beside her. She must have sensed me cause she quickly wiped her tears.

"Hey Annabeth," she said, her voice rough from crying. "Is Alex okay?"

"Yeah he is," I assured her. We sat quietly for a while.

I finally decided to ask her. "So you wanna say why you walked away? I am pretty sure you both like each other."

"Annabeth. When I consulted Chiron, he said that there would a possible quest," she started speaking. I froze. Quest! No... no, no, no... quests are dangerous. I stayed quiet.

"I expect you of all people to understand it. Quests are dangerous. If I said yes, there was no way Alex would let me go alone. I don't wanna put your lives in danger. You are one happy family. I am sorry I broke his heart. Plus, the entire reason all this is happening is so that I can go home. What if going home means leaving Alex forever?"

She paused for a while, "Annabeth, you are Demigods. If there is a choice of saving me or saving all of you... I don't think I trust myself to make that sacrifice."

Suddenly there was a sound of a conch horn in the distance.

"This means dinner!" I forced a smile. "Come on, let's go!"

Lexxy POV.-

We walked to the dining pavilion. I was still sad about Alex,so I ignored him. After dinner, we headed to the campfire. I sat with Annabeth while Percy was sitting with Alex and Grover. Grover? When did he arrive?

The energy level was pretty high. As the energy level got higher, the flames did too, turning from red to orange to gold.

After the sing along, the centaur brandished a spear impaled with roasted marshmallows. "Very well. Welcome everyone. I am Chiron, camp activities director, and I am happy to see you all alive!"

"Well, we have a new arrival. Present you, Lexxy."

I stood up and forced a smile, trying my best not to break down crying. I sat down again.

"We also have a surprise for you campers. Someone famous is arriving today. Someone you know as the Avengers!!!"

"What!?" I whispered to Annabeth. "What are the Avengers doing here?"

"We have known them since the giant war."

"Oh..." I said to one in particular. "So it's like a crossover."

"What?!"

"Nothing."

The campers started shouting with excitement as a people arrived. A man I recognised as Spiderman. And a girl who must have been MJ arrived. With them was another young girl around 12.

Then a person in an Ironman suit arrived. I waited hoping to see Tony Stark, but a girl around 16 came out.

"Who are they?" I asked Annabeth. "The two young girls?"

"The one in the suit is Morgan Stark," I blinked my eyes in surprise. Annabeth must have noticed it because she laughed. "She joined the hunt when she was 12 but left the hunt after a few years for some classified reasons. That's why she is so young. The other girl is Melody Parker, daughter of spiderman and MJ."

"Please take your seats," Chiron spoke. "Now, let's-"

His sentence was cut short when suddenly, Rachel rose from her chair. The air around us got thick. Green mist started swirling around Rachel. Her eyes were glowing. In a raspy-ancient voice, she started reciting lines.

"A game of time will be played by five,
The orphan and the others shall rise.
Face the horrors out of the blue,
This is to be done without all of you.
An exchange with the enemy will take place,
And one shall leave without any trace."

"Oh great!"

(So... guys, I tried writing the prophecy. I wrote it with my heart. Nah kidding, I wrote it with my hand.

So, I was like how should I get Rachel to say the prophecy.

"So, let's discuss about Lexxy's matter."
"Rachel, do you have a prophecy?"
"His campers. Guess what there is a prophecy!"

Then I got frustrated and I was like tell the prophecy already! I actually liked that idea! So, I wrote it!

Percy-Why are you telling it to them? Any specific reason?

Me-No. I just wanted to get 1000 words. Never wrote a chapter this long. Okay bye guys!)
