CHAPTER 12- Na...nap...Nat...Forget It! I can't even spell it!!

Alex POV.-

Palamidi was a fortress to the east of the Acronauplia in the town of Nafplio in the Peloponnese region of southern Greece.

In short, trouble.

It took us 30 mins to reach there. See, our friend Morgan is the daughter of a famous and rich philanthropist billionaire named Tony Stark. Perks of being the friend of a rich person. We flew here using the quinjet. I was clutching the seat the entire time.

Yeah. I am scared of flights. 

I got them tickets into the fort while they sat on a bench nearby. Great! Why was I getting them tickets even though our friend Morgan is the daughter of a famous and rich philanthropist and billionaire named Tony Stark? Well, see... that would gather the attention that we have been trying to avoid right now. We don't want attention, especially if we were going to fight a possible monster. I got them the tickets and we headed inside. A strong scent filled the air.

"What is this smell?" Morgan asked, clearly annoyed. "Smells like grandma had a bath here..."

"Don't know..." Alex said. "Just be careful."

"Hmm," I muttered. 

We continued walking. After a while, we couldn't find anything. So, we decided to scout the other side of the fort. I was just behind them. By this point, I was pretty sure I couldn't walk. No! I literally couldn't walk! The smell returned stronger than ever. I opened my mouth to stop them but I couldn't. My jaws ached from trying to walk. My legs trembled and I fell on my knees. 

"Guys..." I managed, my eyes going black. Then, I fell on my left hand and everything went black.

Morgan POV.-

At this point, I was restless. I mean...WHY EVERYTHING? I wanted to go on a quest, fight monsters, perhaps even save the world! But no! All I had done so far was put my sister like figure in danger and walk around a fort, like tourists...

"Guys!" I complained. They turned towards me with annoying faces. "Let's grab a drink. I am thirsty. Pretty sure you all are too." 

They agreed without any complaints. That's when I noticed...

"Hey..." My voice had the fear I was feeling. "Where is Lexxy?" 

The others, just realizing that she was not there, looked around. Alex was frantic. 

"WE HAVE TO FIND HER!!" He shouted, earning the glares of a few passing tourists. I realized another thing. There weren't many tourists around here. We all exchanged worried glances.

"Okay..." I processed everything. "We will find Lexxy. Alex, first you need to relax! Let's retrace our steps. That way, we can find any clues that we might need. Maybe, she is just lost..."

Everyone nodded except Melody, who had stayed awfully quiet throughout all this. 

"Guys! You might wanna see this!" We turned and saw where she was pointing. Running towards us, was a man in black. His face was covered and eyes not visible. And in that man's hands was Lexxy. She was sleeping, hurt, or even worse... I decided to worry about that later because following them was a mob full of angry cyclopes, ready to chew us alive. 

We got ready to run away except Alex. "HEY! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HER!?!YOU-" He told a few other very colorful words that I would rather not talk about. We had to hold him back. 

"Alex, she is okay. Right now, we have to run because if we don't, the cyclopes are gonna tear us apart. So, COME ON!" Chuck told him. We ran together The weird man with the mask soon caught up with us.

"There!" Chuck said as he pointed towards a cave-like opening. We ran inside and didn't stop until we were sure that we were completely safe. The man with the mask placed Lexxy above a flat rock. That reminds me, it was getting pretty annoying to call him 'man with the mask'...

"Who are you? What's your name?" Melody asked before I even got the chance. 

The man straightened himself, "I am the person who just saved your lives, especially Lexxy. She had fainted. Must be because of the gas in the air. It hit her first... Two cyclopes were trying to get to her. I killed them but before they died, they must have send some signal. As I reached her, the other cyclopes came running towards me. Like, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?"

He must have been waiting for some type of expression because he didn't get it.

"What's your name?" Chuck repeated Melody's question.

"Don't interrupt!!" Said the man with the mask.

"You asked the quest-"

"DON'T INTERRUPT!" He interrupted. Everyone stayed quiet and he continued. "So, I ran towards the direction you went to. You know what happened later on."

We stayed quiet. Lexxy groaned in her sleep.

"Why don't you children say something?" He asked.

"'DON'T INTERRUPT!'" Chuck quoted the man. "Look. Whoever you are. Whatever you are. How do we know that we can trust you?"

"You don't have to. I just happen to know the place where the first potion is kept..." He said in a very annoying taunting voice. "And I will help you. Whether you like it or not!"

Melody, on the other hand, was observing something else, "Your voice... I feel like I know you. I can't put my hand on it... Please show us your face."

The man took a step back, "You guys are clever than I anticipated. I should get going. The red Karsyn is in the fort. Just over the wall over there," He pointed to a wall a few meters from here. "There's a cave. Find it. It's surrounded by cyclopes though. Be careful, please... Oh no, Lexxy is waking up. I should really go now...BYE peeps! Call me Bob!"

Before we could say anything, he dissappeared.

Lexxy woke up at the same time, groaning. We helped her up and gave her the information.

"Okay..." Lexxy spoke. "So apparently, this Bob. Are you sure he was not a titan?" She asked with a hopeful expression on her face. (A/N At this point, I forgot whose point of view it was...Lmao)

"No..." I felt bad for quashing her hopes. She rolled her lips, as if trying not to look dissappointed. "So guys, who's up for some cyclopes hunting?"

Okay... So that's it for today! If I survive my school and tutions for the next few days, you will get another chapter. Can't believe you guys are still reading this garbage...
