Huey had been in his room all day. He hadn't had the courage to come out. Not since the encounter with Luis.
He hated Luis.
Huey didn't understand why he suddenly manifest himself. Why was he even here?
Huey thought, and thought and the only thing he could think of was the simple fact that their mother had shown up from being trapped on the moon all these years. That had been emotional, for all of them. But, how was Louie distressed about it?
She pratically saved him from that day too after that attack from the Gilded Man robot. Could that be what triggered Louie's distress? It had been a rather scary thing for him to experince. It was a situation in which he couldn't control this situation. Sure, he had the idea to tabe the microphone horns together and toss them inside the robot, but he couldn't control how it was suddenly coming head first at him.
Literally.
Could that be the distress?
Also, what was Luis planning? If he wasn't planning on hurting them or Uncle Donald. Then who...
"Dewey! Dewey, come on, let's talk about this!" Webby voice floated from behind their bedroom door.
"Just leave me alone, Webby!" Dewey snarled at her as the door opened and then slammed shut. Huey blinked and looked over at his brother's tear stained face.
"Dewey?" He asked, as he climbed off his bunk bed. "What's wrong? What happened?"
Webby continued to bang on their door and as Huey went to open it Dewey grabbed his arm. Huey looked at him and Dewey shooked his head, wildly. Huey sighed.
"Go, away, Webby." Huey told her. "Dewey wants to be alone."
"I'm not leaving until we talk about this!" Webby shouted back.
"Am I interupting something here?" Ms. Beakly asked, coming up behind Webby. Huey and Dewey pressed their ears against the door.
"G,Granny. I, I -." Webby began.
"Room. Now, Webby." Ms. Beakly ordered. "You know not to bother the boys after a long day of -."
"But, Granny!" Webby whined.
"Not buts! Now, move it." Ms. Beakly barked at her.
Webby yelped and Huey only assumed that Ms. Beakly swatted her for talking back. They heard Webby's bedroom door slam, and Ms. Beaklys footsteps faded from the door.
Huey and Dewey sighed with relief as they put their back to the door and slid down to the ground at the same time.
"So, how'd the trip with you and Mom go?" Huey tried first. Dewey gave him a sharp look and saw tears in his eyes. Huey sighed before asking,
"What'd he do." in a tired voice. He knew he didn't even have to say who he was refering to.
Dewey already knew.
"H,He kissed Webby." Dewey choked out, he pulled his knees up close to him and buried his face in them.
Huey winced. He hated that he even asked. Hated that Luis made his other brother cry. Huey knew that Dewey had feelings for Webby for a long time now. Dewey told Huey he was planning on telling her soon.
Now, because of Luis that wouldn't be happening for awhile now.
"Well," Huey said, after Dewey calmed down a bit. "At least he didn't throw a knife at you." He told him.
