(Age four)
"No, let me go!" Louie shouted.

"Huey, Dewey, hold him down." His Uncle Donald commanded.

Rough hands grabbed him as Huey and Dewey held down each of his arms. Louie screamed, kicked, shouted out horrible things to them as they held him down.

"Shhh. Louie." Huey said, "it's all going to be okay." He assured him. He kept saying that over and over as Louie continued to scream.

"Almost got it." Uncle Donald said.

Louie stopped struggling long enough to see what his Uncle was talking about and his eyes widen when he saw him lift a syringe at eye level. He squirted it and looked down at his youngest nephew sadly.

"N,No." Louie pleaded, as the syringe inched closer and closer to his arm. "Please, anything but that! It, it gives me nightmares!"

He started struggling to get away, but his brother's held onto him even more tightly.

"I'm sorry, Louie," Uncle Donald said. "But I can't have you going around harming yourself, your brothers or me. This is for you own good." He told him firmly.

"Nooooooooo!" Louie howled as his uncle stuck the needle in his arm.

Louie shot up in bed. He had sweat pouring down his face and his heart was pounding a mile a minute. His nightmares were getting worse.

He looked around his room and looked upward at the other two bunk beds. He saw Dewey's arm and leg slumped over the side and heard his loud snoring but couldn't see or hear Huey for he was on the top bunk.

He quietly got out of bed and climbed up to it, careful not to wake Dewey. If he knew that Louie was up and heading for his elder brother in the middle of the night he'd never live it down. He got up to the top bunk and sat cross legged in front of him.

He was sound alseep and almost heistated to wake him up. But the nightmare he just had was still so fresh in his mind, though he could eaisly feel it slipping away, that he just couldn't go back to sleep, at least, not yet...

He lifted a finger and poked Huey's cheek.

Huey grunted and swatted his hand and Louie quickly pulled it away just in time not to made contact.

Louie stared at Huey for a few more mintues before poking him in the cheek again. This time, Huey's eyes fluttered open. His face scrunched up in annoyance but then it quickly changed into worried and concern when he saw Louie staring at him with tears in his eyes.

"Louie?" He whispered. "What's the matter? What are you doing up this late?" He asked.

"I, I had another nightmare." He choked out.

Huey quickly sat up, now wide awake.

The last time Louie had a nightmare things ended badly for them.

"A nightmare?" He asked. "W, What was it about?"

Louie racked his brain as he tried to remember the dream. Huey studied him, looking for the signs. He couldn't tell if he was in that state of mind just yet, or not. He looked nervously towards the bedroom door. He wondered if he should get Uncle Donald.

"I, I don't remember it." Louie told him, finally.

Huey looked back at him with relief. The fact that Louie couldn't remember his nightmare was a sign that he wasn't.

At least, not yet.

"Come here," Huey said, he patted the spot beside him and pulled away part of the covers. Louie smiled and crawled over to lay beside him.
