(Age 5 the same day)

"Louie!" Dewey shouted.

"Louie!" Huey shouted.

"Lewellyen Duck!" Uncle Donald shouted out angrily.

So. He is angry. Louie thought as he hugged his knees close to his chest, trying to squeeze in more tightly  into his hiding place. His heart was pounding hard and he squeezed his eyes shut and covered his ears so he could block out the noise.

"What did you do this time, Lou?" Luis whispered in his ear.

"Nothing! Louie thought to him. "I did nothing! All I did was call Huey by his real name, and, and, they think I'm you again."

"Oh, Lou-Lou." Luis said, with a sigh of disappointment.

"Don't Lou-Lou me!"  Louie thought back angrily. "I, I don't want him to stick that needle in my arm again..."  Louie shivered.

"Please, Luis. Help me."  Louie whispered out loud.

"I'm here for you, Louie. Always. Even if they aren't." Luis assured him.

Louie sighed deeply when he felt Luis begin to pull himself up out of the hole where he was kept until he was needed, like now, as Louie felt himself falling again, they met in the middle and as Louie stared at his other self he started to cry.

"It's okay, Louie." Luis told him as he embraced him. "I'll take care of it. Promise."

"J,Just don't hurt them." Louie pleaded as he pulled away.

"Wouldn't dream of it." Luis told him, placing a hand behind his back and crossing his fingers as he ascended up out of the hole while Louie descended looking back up at him with a small watery smile.

"Thank-you." Louie whispered as he watched Luis disappear and Louie was left alone once again.

(Present day, at Funzo's)

"Okay, so, what'd you wanna do first?" Luis asked, as they entered Funzo's. Webby was quiet the whole walk to Funzo's. Luis wondered what

Dewey had texted back to her after she told him what the plan was for meeting up at Funzo's later.

"How about some virtual reality?" Webby asked, pointing to the small room where kids were being handed out what looked like small, black
rimmed reading glasses. Luis made a face and Webby was watching him, or rather, studying him.

Damn.

Dewey must have warned Webby about him.

He'd have to play it cool around her and figure out what Dewey texted her.

"Nah." Luis said, finally as as he stretched out his arms and began walking to a table. "I'd rather just sit and eat pizza." He told her. "You go on and have fun, though. I'm just here to keep you company." He added.

A tall bird walked over to their table and Luis racked Louie's brain quickly on what he was to Funzo's and a smile slowly spread across his face.

"Hello, Jane." He said. "Care to give your best customer one free cup of water? Please?" He asked, sweetly.

"Sure, thing, Mr. Duck." Jane said, handing him a plastic cup and winking at him. "And the lady?" She asked, glancing over at Webby who blushed slightly.
