Erik is Charles best friend as much as he is your boyfriend. During a physical fight, there was no sign of him and he wasn't responding.
You saw him for a bit but through his anger he wasn't talking to you an he was using his metallic abilities to try and kill human beings.
He wasn't talking to you at all so Charles tried to get him to respond. Whatever Erik was saying back to Charles wasn't delightful.
Charles begged Erik to stop, to come back. He gave you a look.
This was bad.
