You and Charles had only just got your powers when you were kids.

Unlike you, Charles would constantly struggle with his power. You were always there for him as the best friend that you were.

He had constant nightmares.
Constant thoughts that weren't his own.

He had telepathy so it made sense that it was troubling him and hurting his head.

"Charles...Charles..."

"The thoughts, the memories..." He groans, putting his hands against the sides of his head like it was aching in his skull.

"They all come back!"

You give the man a hug, rubbing his back soothingly. Your power was healing. Calming.

Quite literally.

You calm those who do have power and heal those who have wounds.

You hear him whimper in pain, before wrapping his arms around you too. With that, you put your hand on the top of his head and use your power.

His shuddering and aching depletes, until he's taking deep calming breaths.

"Thank you, I find it aching you always have to be the one to help me."

"Your power used to be alright but because of all the stress, I see that might be why its hurting you." I tell him.

"I'll always be here for you."

"You know I will be too."
