Ethereal's Pov.
I watched as the human man and she elf quietly argued in elvish over who should be the one to ride to Rivendell with the injured man. I was standing quietly off to the side keeping watch when I felt the dark magic surge. I quickly walked over to the arguing cupule causing them to turn to me.
"Quickly. You must decide who will be the one to take your injured comrade to Rivendell, there is not much time, the darkness draws near." I then turned and took a few steps to the side to let them continue their debate unaware that they where watching me. I gave a gentle series of whistles and watched as the she elf's white horse tossed his head with a nicker and cantered over to where I stood, I placed a gentle hand over his muzzle while placing the other under his chin before pressing my forehead to his. "Étapes du vent." I quietly spoke the spell that would grant this horse enough speed to out run the dark steeds. I stepped back and the horse pressed his face forward gently nuzzling my face, I chuckled and rubbed his forehead.
"What did you do?" I turned to see the she elf and human gazing at me in curiosity. I stepped to the side of the horse rubbing his neck.
"I have granted your horse a temporarily connection to the Wind Arcanum using the spell Wind Steps. He will now have the ability to out run the steeds that are enhanced by dark magic. He is very strong, with his already naturally great speed combined with Wind Steps no steed can out run him in this land." I turned and pated the stallion on the neck on the last sentence, he let on a neigh before rearing and striking out at the air, when he came down he tossed his head with a nicker before nuzzling me in the side once more.
"Fascinating. What is a Wind Arcanum and what kind of magic is that? I've never heard of it before." The she elf asked as she waked up to pet her horse who nuzzled her as well.
"It is an old and powerful magic but that will be something I will have to explain when we reach Rivendell where you will all be safe from the darkness that trails you. Have you decided who will go?" I turned to the man as he was the one who was against the she elf going. He sighed but nodded his head.
"She will go, I will be placing both their safeties in your hands, I hope you will keep them same."
I placed my right hand over my heart and nodded my head to him. "You have my word, I will keep them safe. You as well will be safe on your journey to Rivendell." He raised an eyebrow at me quizzically. "My mate will be watching over you and will make sure that you and your remaining companions reach Rivendell safely." I smiled softly as his eyes widened and he quickly looked around. "You wont see him but he is there, he holds more power than even I and if not for the fact that he is not fond nor trusting of others especially those of the races of men and other elves, he would be the one protecting the she elf and your injured companion." I let out a chuckle at the thought of what their reactions might have been had Aaravos been the one to appear as apposed to myself.
A screech in the distance caused us to jump into action, I quickly returned to and mounted Eldur who lowered him self to give me easier access. The she elf quickly mounted the stallion while the man put the injured man in front of her on the horse. As he looked the she elf in the eyes and I could see his love for her. She smiled softly before looking to me. I gave her a smile and nodded my head. Determination filled her eyes as she leaned down to her stallion.
"Noro lim, noro lim, Asfaloth!" She softly called to her horse and they where off in a flash. I leaned down and pated Eldur's side.
"Fly Eldur." I crouched low over his back as he spread his wings and took off through the tree canopy. I looked over as we exited the tree tops and gave a soft smile and nod to Aaravos as we passed, to which he responded with a loving smile and nod of his own.
Time skip
We managed to make it till day break before the Nazgul finally caught up to us. I flew above Arwen as she raced across the open plain toward the cover of the small trees in the distance. With the enhanced speeds of both the dark steeds and the she elf's stallion it didn't take them long to reach them, it was difficult to aid the she elf from the sky especially with the tees keeping me from flying by her side but I managed my casting a few smaller wind and lightning spells to slow the dark riders down and give some breathing room to both elf and rider who where struggling to maintain their speed even with the aid of my spell, but it would seem luck was on our side as we where only a few more hours away from Rivendell and even closer to the river where we would be able to loose the Wraiths. I flew down as close as I could to the she elf while still avoiding the trees. I call putt catching her attention.
" I will have fly above the forest trees, I will meet you at the river!" Once she signaled that she had heard I immediately cued Eldur to fly ahead to the river where we landed on the opposite bank facing the forest where the she elf would emerge. I waited with baited breath only to sigh in relief when she burst from the forest as soon as she saw me she raced in my direction I waited till she had passed me and I could here her slowing her horse to turn and watch what I was doing. As soon as the Wraith appeared from the forest Eldur stepped forward and sucked in a large breath flaring his wings and enlarging himself by several times before letting out a roar that caused the Wraith's steeds to stumble back and rear in fear giving the she elf behind me time to mutter one of the spells of her people, I felt when the water began to surge from up the creek and decided to add some more power to be sure that they where washed away. I could feel the strain on my body from the constant spells and flying for the past day and decided it wouldn't be a good idea to put any more strain on my body so I instead reached out gently to Aaravos so as not to alarm him and I immediately felt him open up upon feeling me. The gentle flow of power that he pushed through the bond was filled with his love and it eased some of the strain on my body, I smiled, using his power was flashy but it was safer right now. I new that even as I traced the glowing rune quickly in the air that the she elf was watching as the power pushed my hood off my head and my hair flared around me as my eyes glowed and my body shined. When I finished the spell I whispered the command that went with it and pushed the spell forward. Immediately the sound of rushing water increased and a large wave of water rushed around the river bend in the form of a herd of foam white horses, It was so strong it immediately swept away both Wraiths and steeds in an instant. When the water had calmed I turned to the she elf and smiled at the wide eyed elf gently. A groan catches my attention and I looked down to see the small man's condition had worsened in the past several hours. My face immediately turned serious and I flipped my hood back up quickly signaling to the she elf that we needed to leave before taking to the sky and following her racing form through the trees.
