Ethereal Pov.

It was early morning and still dark when we exited our home and made our was to the field in front of the steps of our home.

"How do you wish to get there love?" Aaravos was still wearing his normal clothes and had chosen to not where his cloak though he still brought it with him. I however had chosen to change out of my normal dress for obvious reasons.

I turned to Aaravos and my excitement grew, this would be our first adventure since coming to this world and I had been anticipating it. While our mountain oasis was home I still longed for adventure and to occasionally go out and explore the world. Although I had heard of the different species in this world I had never gotten to meet any of them until the wizard Gandalf had showed up and he had just made me even more curious about the others, especially the elves of this world, I wanted to know if they looked like us and what their culture was like. "What are our options?"

Aaravos chuckled, I would assume that my excitement had probably leaked through. "Well, we could fly there or we could ride their, though it would have to be on the Moonstiders or the Shadowpaws as the Amblers attract to much attention for obvious reasons. Though I think that flying there would be the better option as we would attract less attention if we fly high enough but just in case we should have the Moonstriders and Shadowpaws fallow discreetly behind us just in case they're needed during our little adventure."

"As always your thinking ahead and planning for future scenarios. What would I do without you?" When I said the last part I made sure to inject as much sarcasm as I could while still giving him a gentle smile to show that I truly appreciated what he did for us. Aaravos gave a soft smile back and reached out to gently tug her into his chest. I immediately relaxed into his embrace as he gently ran his fingers through my hair causing my eyelids to droop in bliss. I was almost asleep when he spoke causing my to jump a little at his voice and I could here the humor hidden beneath his words.

" I aim to please love." Aaravos gave me a smirk as he gazed down at me, I moved my right foot back resting on my toe and sitting back on my left foot so that I was still in Aaravos's arms but there was just a touch of space between us allowing my to more easily gaze up into his eyes. I smiled up at his as I felt the love for this elf that I would give up anything for well up inside my chest giving me a soft and warm feeling.

Aaravos's gaze softened as he gazed into my eyes before the shifted downwards to my lips where they stayed for a moment before he leaned down a gently pressed his soft warm lips against my own. I closed my eyes and softly kissed him back our lips moving in since from centuries of practice. We stayed like that for a minute or so before separating though not by much as Aaravos pressed his forehead against my own and rested there for a second with his eyes closed. When we finally pulled apart we where both content with each other and ready to start our journey, though it was something that had been conveyed through the kiss it was something we also both new in our harts, when this adventure was over we where both ready to start a journey of our own.

"It's time to go love." Aaravos whispered bring his hand up to gently draw the back of his fingers' down the side of my face as I slightly leaned my face into his touch.

"It seems it is." I gently smiled before turning to the field before us. I let out a special melody like whistle and it wasn't long before I received a response, a thunderous roar sounded as a large male Two-tailed saber toothed tiger landed before me. My wings ruffled in excitement as I ran up to him and tried to wrap my arms around his large mane covered neck. "Its time to start our journey, are you ready to finally see the out side world Eldur?" The tiger gave a resonating purr. I turned and saw Aaravos's Moonphoenix had already landed silently in front of him. I watched as he gently brushed her head feathers. I moved around Eldur's side to his saddle and he gently lowered his large body to the ground, when I swung my leg up into the saddle Eldur rose to his feet and I closed my eyes before softly whispering an incantation under my breath, I shifted uncomfortably as I felt my wings disappear, I hated doing it but they where not practical for a long flight. After I grew used to the empty feeling of no longer having the comforting weight of my wings upon my back I turned to Aaravos and found him gazing at my from his Moonphoenix's back with sympathy and amusement in his eyes. I gave him a playful glare and he chuckled before facing forward to lean down and gently pat the phoenix's side.

"Come Hënë. (He-Nee) Let us fly." Hënë spread her wings and let out a great cry that was echoed by Eldur before both their powerful wings propelled downwards and we rocketed up into the air.

As we flew side by side, our hair whipping behind us like gold and white flags, I sat up strait from my crouched place where I had leaned forward to make my self more arrow dynamic for the powerful take off, I threw my arms out to the sides and spread them parallel the Eldur's wings as I tilted my head back smiling, enjoying once again being able to fly through the vast skies.

I felt my heart flutter in excitement, our journey had only just begun.
