Third Person Pov.A week and a half passed by quickly for everyone, with the other races informed of the meeting and their two new allies preparing for the journey Gandalf had made his way to the elf city Imladris or as the humans new it, Rivendell. When he arrived he was swift in making his way to see the ruler of the city Lord Elrond. When he made it to Elrond's study Gandalf gave to swift raps on the oak wood door before being invited in.
"Gandalf my old friend, its good to see you have arrived safely." The half-elf made his way over to Gandalf and gave him a brief but tight hug before stepping back. "I herd rumors that you have found some powerful allies that are willing to lend us aid. If they are as powerful as the rumors say Suramon will possibly try to kill them before they can reach us or even try to corrupt them and tempt them to his side with the promise of more power or riches, are you sure they will be strong enough to resist him?" Elrond said the last part lower but his voice still told of his concerns. Gandalf winced, "What is it my friend?" Gandalf let out a short but nervous chuckle while glancing around.
"You have no need to concern your self, they are just as powerful if not probably more than the rumors suggest, these beings are as far from being tempted by frivolous things such as riches and power as the Valor are, but my friend you may want to refrain from saying such concerns about them out loud." Gandalf spoke to Elrond with a soft smile. Elrond gave him a quizzical look.
"And why should that be my friend?" The curiosity was exuding from Elrond now, normally Gandalf would have been one to join him in voicing concerns about things like this so to have him act like this was a new event that had Elrond wondering just who these beings where that had even Gandalf acting out of character.
"These beings are not people you want to offend my friend, and one of them had a skill not unlike Lady Galadriel's, he new I was coming to seek them out long before I my self new. They will make for irreplaceable friends on the journey ahead, I do hope that the other races do not offend him or even worse, her." Gandalf shivered as he spoke.
"Him? Her? Gandalf just who are these beings that have you more on edge than when you where on a journey to face a dragon!" Elrond spoke the last sentence with his voice filled with exasperation.
"I can not tell you much as I myself do not know much and what I do know they may not want shared, but what I will tell you is this, we will need to be sure to warn the other races, especially the Dwarves and Humans," Gandalf gave him a look that just screamed 'Valor help us all' causing Elrond to roll his eyes while chuckling goo heartedly. "Not to offend the male counterpart and to especially treat the female counterpart with the utmost respect, it will be bad enough if the offend the male but from what I have seen, although not voiced by they themselves, the male would not hesitate to tare down an entire race for even the most simple of offences to his mate. Though I have no doubt in my mind that she would at least attempt to rein him in, as she is a gentle and understanding soul, if the offence is severe enough I'm not sure she would be able to stop him before he causes severe damage, and believe me, though I have yet to witness what kind of damage they can inflict, from what they have explained of their magic and from what I have seen that they can create, it is well within their power to bring Men, Dwarves, Elves, and all other races to their knees should they choose." Gandalf was serious the entire time he spoke of these beings and it had Elrond almost dreading the meeting to come if these people where to be in attendance.
"I will be sure to warn the other races not to offend these allies of yours." Elrond was afraid of what these beings could do and unless it was released on the enemy he did not want to bare witness to their wrath. He was going to be sure to try his best to get his point across to the other races and even his own kind to be respectful to these people, he new all to well of the Dwarves stubbornness and the Humans recklessness. 'Valor help me' he thought helplessly as he realized just how hopeless this was going to be, especially if one of the two beings who was supposed to take part in this journey was female, though there where some elven females there where not many and Elrond new for a fact that Dwarves and even more so the Humans still believed that woman belonged in the house while the men did the work and participated in the wars, for them female warriors where both a rarity and frowned upon.
"Gandalf we might as well sail to the undying lands now." Elrond said with a sigh as he sat down and sunk into his chair in defeat resting his forehead on the four fingers of his left hand while his cheek rested on his thumb. Gandalf let out a chuckle and pated his friend on the shoulder.
"Fear not my friend, we must have hope and believe in the races of men and Dwarves." He said with a smile. Elrond, without removing his head from his hand, turned his head slightly to the right and raised an eyebrow at the wizard, said wizard's smile dropped in an instant seaming to realize what he had just said. Gandalf sighed and patted his friend on the shoulder and left with just a few parting words that had his old friend pulling out some parchment and ink before picking up his quill.
"I will be off to write my will, you should probably do the same while deciding your heir my old friend."
At the same time in another place.
Ethereal was in a fit of giggles and the ends of Aaravos's lips twitched just slightly as they stared at the swirl of magic that had just showed the conversation that Gandalf had with one of this worlds elves.
"Well love it looks like this adventure will be a little more exciting than we had thought." Ethereal managed to get out through her giggles. Aaravos smirked at her before swiftly leaning forward to place a brief kiss on his mates lips successfully stopping her giggles.
"It seems so. I think I might actually get to have a little fun." Aaravos had a smirk on his face that would have had most people scampering away. Ethereal gave him a playful smack with the back of her wing knocking the breath out of him and the smirk off him causing him to look at her with a raised eyebrow.
"Just don't scare them to bad, those two seam to already be planning their own funerals." She said with a giggle while gesturing to the swirl of magic that had now gone dark. Aaravos smirked and waived his hand causing the magic to dissipate. He gathered his mate in his arms and leaned back on the coach in their bedroom, he began to drift off into slumber with Ethereal leaned against him, she had her head resting on one side of his chest as she gently traced the star at the center as she two drifted into slumber.
"We'll leave in the morning so that we may take our time in getting there." Aaravos managed to get out just before both he and his mate drifted off into sleep.
