Erin made her way into the district, she was 38 weeks pregnant and ready to have this baby. She had worked up until 36 weeks pregnant, on desk duty so the last couple weeks she was bored out of her brain. Everyone thought she would start nesting and be occupied with getting things ready for the baby but that wasn't her, she just wanted to be there to help and know about what was going on.

Jay and Hailey were caught up with one of Jays CI's, but Erin didn't know that. Things had been tense over the last couple weeks, between Jay trying to work as much overtime before the baby and Erins constant midnight cravings, he was exhausted and touchy. He tried his hardest to keep his calm, she was carrying his baby, it's just sometimes her hormonal outrages got the better of him. He blew up over something she was taking out on him, it was so stupid and silly she couldn't even remember but she had told him to leave, not expecting he actually would. So he did and today all she wanted to do was apologise to him and say how much she appreciated him.

She had been trying to ring him and message saying she wanted to talk but he just declined and wouldn't answer, it's not something he wanted to do over the phone. He knew she didn't want to leave but he was exhausted and just needed a break before he said something he didn't mean either. They both knew how much love they had for each other but everything was just so overwhelming.

Once Erin entered the building she was greeted quickly by Platt, who came rushing over to her, "Lindsay, shouldn't you be at home resting?"

Erin looked at her, her face was flushed, she looked uncomfortable but she made sure to try and hide it and force a smile, "I'm good Sarge, is Jay upstairs?"

"I think him and Upton are out, I can buzz you up if you want to wait up there?"

Erin quickly hunched over and grabbed her stomach letting out a slight since of pain, Trudy placed her hand on her back, "Detective, you okay? Come on sit down."

Erin stood up and shook herself away from Trudys hand, "It's all good, just the baby kicking. Nothing I'm not use to, if you could buzz me up that would be great."

Trudy gave her a weird look, not believing anything that was coming out of the young detectives mouth, "How about I take you up?"

Erin nodded and stepped infront of Trudy slowly approaching the stairs, Trudy buzzed them up and then followed Lindsay, staying a step behind incase another rush of pain came over her and she had to catch her from falling.

Once they got to the top, it seemed Erin was out of breath, once again Trudy asked if she was okay and she got a blunt 'Okay' off her, she just nodded and headed back downstairs once everyone knew she was there.

After a couple minutes, Erin was sitting on a chair Antonio had dragged over to her, she kept questioning what was going on with the case they were working on but under strict orders from Voight everyone just avoided her questions.

Everyone could tell she was uncomfortable, she couldn't stop squirming in her seat and letting out tiny moans.

Antonio places a hand on her shoulder, "Linds, you sure your okay?"

Erin shrugged and waved him off, "Yeah, the baby does it all the time. And it's probably just braxton hicks, had them before."

"Okay, but look I'm going to call Halstead." Antonio said walked away.

Kim walked over and sat next to Erin, "Hey Lindsay, how you feeling? I grabbed you some tea."

"Thanks Kim." Erin grabbed the tea out of her hand and started sipping on it, once again she felt a quick rush of pain and hunched over.

Everyone came rushing over to her, Voight even looked up from his desk.

"Seriously guys I'm fine, but the tea is going straight through me so I'm going to hit the ladies." Erin said getting up, but then she felt liquid flowing down her leg, she looked up and saw everyone's shocked faces. Voight was now next to her, placing a hand on her back.
