Blind Date 2

Second part to my Blind Date OneShot, I had so many requests to do it so I thought I would. Enjoy!

Erin got in the taxi and waved to Jay as the taxi drove off, she couldn't shake the feeling in her stomach. Something about this guy gave her butterfly's.

She felt her phone buzzing in her clutch, she pulled it out and noticed it wasn't a number she had saved in her phone,

"Lindsay."

"Hello Detective Lindsay, I guess I couldn't wait to ask you out on a second date."

Erin chuckled into the phone at the familiar voice, "Ah Detective Halstead, very eager. But I am glad, I was hoping you wouldn't take too long."

"What are you doing Saturday?"

"I don't have plans, unless a case jumps off."

"Well how about we go to the shooting range and then lunch? I'd like to see if your as good as you make out."

"Your on."

"I will pick you up at 11."

"See you then Jay."

"Night again Erin."

"Night."

Saturday came around and thankfully she hadn't been called in yet. Hopefully it stayed that way but somehow criminals knew when you had plans.

Erin got dressed in her normal attire, hoping that it would be enough. But somehow she didn't think Jay would care, something about him was different.

She put a little bit of makeup on, nothing like she had on the other night, done her hair with some lose curls and chucked a beanie on, it was freezing outside.

As much as she didn't want to she had to bring her badge, gun and radio just incase she did get a phone call.

She smiled when she heard the door bell ring, she walked quickly to the door looking at herself in the hallway mirror one last time, she opened it and smiled when she saw Jay standing there, looking as handsome as ever. This guy could wear a potato sack and still look sexy.

Jay smiled at her, "Hey."

"Hi."

He pulled his hand from behind his back holding a bunch of daisy's, "I'm not usually the flower type of guy but." He shrugged.

"Wow, they are beautiful. Also my favourite." Erin said taking the flowers and bringing them to her nose.

"Yeah a little bird may have told me." Jay chuckled.

"Oh I bet," Erin smiled, "Did you want to come in while I put these in some water?"

"Uh yeah sure." He nodded, making his way outside. Taking his beanie and big jacket off, revealing a tight henley that outlined his muscles.

Erin's breath was near taken away when she looked up and saw Jay standing there in less clothing then when he arrived, god she had to get her mind elsewhere.

Jay smiled as he watched Erin walk around her kitchen, grabbing a vase and filling it up with water.

Even though this time she was dressed to the nines with her hair and makeup done she still looked beautiful, "It's nice to see this side of you."

Her head raised, "What do you mean?"

"Just shows that even without a fancy dress and a face full of makeup you still look beautiful."

Erin felt her cheeks blush, she didn't blush. She was a tough detective, but once again this guy was doing things to her, "Uh thankyou.
