Gold sat on the balcony of her room as she looked at the sky.

She didn't feel so alone before. It was as if she was missing something.

She replayed what Mother Gothel had told her when she was young.

Mother Gothel had found the little girl in front of her doorstep. She was the daughter of a beggar. Mother Gothel took pity on her and took her in. She had raised Gold as her own since then.

Gold shook her head. She knew it by heart. Then why did she feel so..lost ?

Ben was walking around Auradon. He wanted to clear his head. He was going to be crowned the king of Auradon. It was too much pressure. And then there was Gold. He didn't know why he thought so much for a villain kid. He felt as if he knew her since childhood. He felt so comfortable around her. He knew that something was wrong.

Gold couldn't be Mother Gothel's daughter. She looked exactly like Queen Rapunzel. The same green eyes, the same freckles, the same golden hair.

And somehow, for maybe just one second, Ben thought that Gold could be Raven. He shook his head and kept on walking.

He suddenly noticed something golden shining in the moonlight. He went closer to be completely and utterly shocked.

Someone's long hair was hanging from the window of one of the top most tower dorms of Auradon Prep. It was so long, that it was almost same to what once Queen Rapunzel had.

Ben went right under that dorm and saw something that almost gave him a heart attack. There sat Gold, near the window, with her hair let down, as she was staring at the dark isle.

Ben knew he had to do something. It wasn't Gold, the villain kid. She was a completely different person. Ben's assumptions were right. She was a royalty. And more importantly, she wasn't some royalty, she was Raven, the lost princess of Queen Rapunzel and King Eugene. It was Ben's blonde beauty, whom he had lost when they were young. Because, no one, not a single person in the Earth, could have such a long hair, unless inherited from her genes. Queen Rapunzel had the magic flower in her genes, and now it had been passed on to her daughter.

Ben tugged on Gold's hair. Gold came out of the trance she was in. Surprised, she quickly looked down.

"What the hell ?! Why the heck are you here Ben ?!" said Gold.

"Let me up !!" said Ben.

"Are you crazy ?! You could come from the door, you idiot !" said Gold.

"Stop talking and let me up !!" said Ben.

Gold huffed in annoyance but nevertheless pulled Ben up. While he was being pulled up, Ben's hand scratched against the tower wall, and it got cut and was bleeding badly.

"What are you doing here Ben ?!" exclaimed Gold.

"To save you blonde beauty." said Ben.

Gold looked at Ben.

"What..?" asked Ben.

"I don't..I..don't remember..but..it's like..it's like, someone used to..call me blonde beauty..I think..it's absolutely not possible because if anyone did, I would've broken their nose..but..I feel like..it was someone..it was-" said Gold.

"Someone from your childhood." said Ben.

"Y-yes..I think.." said Gold.

Ben smiled. He leaned against Gold's bed and put his hand on the wood.

"Ah !" exclaimed Ben.

Gold rushed forward. She saw that Ben had hurt his hands while coming up the tower.

"Are you an idiot ?!" said Gold, "you could've gotten hurt..and oh dear villain ! I don't even have the freaking first aid kit with me, right now !"

"Well, it hurts Gold. It really hurts. " said Ben.

He wasn't hurting so much, but he wanted to see what Gold would do. So he faked being hurt a lot.

Gold wrapped her hair around Ben's palm.

"What are you doing ?!" asked Ben.

"Shut up and stay still." said Gold.

She closed her eyes.

"Flower gleam and glow

Let your power shine

Make the clock reverse

Bring back what once was mine

What once was mine"

Her hair glowed a bright golden. Ben's eyes widened at it. And soon enough, his hand was healed.

"How the hell did you do that ?!" asked Ben, faking his astonishment as he already knew the answer to that.

"Well, I really don't know. It was kinda always there. In my blood, I guess." said Gold as she laughed slightly.

Ben looked at her in awe. His lost best friend was right there in front of her, yet he couldn't tell her the truth. He needed time. He had to inform her parents.

"You know something, Beast boy ?" said Gold as she walked over to the balcony.

"What ?" asked Ben, as he took a spot next to her.

"Every year, on my birthday, there would be lanterns released from here. I would watch it from the isle. I wondered why they were only released on my birthday. I asked Mother Gothel about it, but she said that it was just a coincidence. But I knew that it was more than that. I always wanted to see them from close but..soon enough, I got ny reality check and accepted my legacy. I am a villain kid, and I was born to be evil. Not good." said Gold.

"Oh, but darling, you are a royal. My blonde beauty. I want to tell you the truth, but it's not the time..I'm sorry..but I need time..I am really sorry.." thought Ben.

"Why do you call your mother by her name ? Why don't you call her mom ?" asked Ben.

"I could. But she doesn't let me. I don't know why. She is super strict about my hair too. She never lets me let it down. But I know she loves me. 'Mother knows the best'." said Gold, giving a small sad laugh.

Ben looked at her. He felt sad for her. But he was determined to give her what she deserved. And not only Gold, but all the other VKs. He would give them a better life. He would make them good.

"I think I should go." said Ben.

Gold nodded and gave them a small smile. Ben nodded and came out her room.

"Good night, Raven.." said Ben as he went to his room.
