The VKs gathered around the kitchen table as they followed Mal's spell book to make cookies with a love spell.

"Now it says one drop of human sadness..how do we get tears ? And I never cry.." said Mal looking into her spell book.

"Well, me too. My mom has strict policy against crying.." said Gold.

"We could chop some onions.." suggested Carlos.

"We can't ! It says one drop of human sadness. A real tear.." said Mal.

"Why ? It's just a tear.." said Jay.

"Not true. They both have antibodies and enzymes, but a emotional tear has more protein based hormones than a reflex tear.." said Evie.

"Listen to you.." praised Mal.

"So proud of you, Eve.." said Gold, chucking a little bit.

Evie smiled and shrugged her shoulders.

"I knew that.." huffed Jay.

"Did not." argued Carlos.

"Did so !" said Jay.

"Guys !" shouted Gold.

Just then, Lonnie entered the kitchen.

"Omg ! Gold and Mal, there you are ! All the girls want a new hair do ! And Gold, your make up tricks, are ah-may-zing !!" said Lonnie.

The VKs looked at her awkwardly. Lonnie peered into the mixture bowl.

"Whatcha guys making ? Midnight snack ?" said Lonnie putting her finger in the mixture and eating it making the VKs yell, "No !"

"What ? I'm not gonna go double dip.." said Lonnie.

"Do you feel..anything ?" asked Mal cautiously.

Lonnie looked at them. Jay came up to her flirtatiously.

"Hey.." said Jay.

Lonnie looked at him for a moment and said, "Could use some chips.."

The VKs sighed in relief, when Evie asked, "Chips ?"

"Chocolate chips. The most important ingredient in the food group." said Lonnie.

The VKs looked at her expectedly, confused.

"You know, when you're sad and upset, and your mom just makes the most delicious chocolate chip cookies, and give you a glass of hot milk, while you both talk your hearts out.." said Lonnie, smiling, but her face fell when she saw the sad looks on their faces.

"Well, we have it different on the Isle.." said Mal.

"I thought, even villains love their kids.." said Lonnie, sadly.

"They do. They just don't express it. My mom loves me, but she doesn't even let me call her mom, let alone eat cookies together.." said Gold, with sadness laced in her voice.

The VKs truly felt bad for Gold. They all had it bad but, Gold had it worse. She was never allowed to call her mother 'mom'. Mother Gothel never called her anything sweet, even if it was fake. Gold grew up in negligence and soon became cold, colder than the other VKs, but it was only the VKs, who helped her keep her warmth, love and sanity.

Lonnie looked at Gold and then at the other VKs, "Oh ! I am so sorry.."

A tear was rolling down her cheek, when Mal quickly took it and put it in the cookie dough.

"Well..it's late..and we should bake now..see ya later.." said Mal ushering Lonnie out of the kitchen.

"Okay...bye guys.." said Lonnie.

"Evil dreams.." waved Gold.

"Byee.." said Evie, Carlos and Jay.

As soon as Lonnie was gone, Mal looked at her fellow VKs.

"Gold, baking tray, Evie dough, Carlos and Jay, oven..quick quick..go go go.."
