"Princess!" Gray yelled. Tiffany sighed, yelling back a what from her room. "Can you come here for a sec, angel?"

"What, dad?" she asked, poking her head out of the room, just meters away from the kitchen, where Gray was staring at her phone bill.

"You went over your data again, sweetheart." She frowned. "We talked about this-"

"Dad, the wifi at school sucks, what do you want me to do?"

"But, angel-"

"And out wifi sucks too- why can't I just get an unlimited thing?" Gray rubbed his forehead. "Yeah, I know, we can't afford that right now."

"Tiff-"

"It's fine dad, how much more is it, not that much, I bet." Gray stared at the triple digit number. "You're overreacting."

"Angel, I barely get paid enough to pay for your regula-"

"Dad, I can't not use my phone," she said with a frustrated sigh. Gray gave her a sad smile.

"I'm sorry, princess, but I can't keep paying an insane amount for your phone bill," he said softly. "Why don't you go to the library, the wifi's be-"

"The library, dad, what the fu-"

"Tiffany, I'm trying, baby, my best-"

"Oh my god, yeah, right, you are, fuck you- I hate you, dad." She turned back into her room, slamming her room door shut, shaking the whole apartment. Gray sighed, shaking his head. He set the paper down on the counter and stared at it for a second longer before turning to the stove.

He had to get started on her dinner- but he had no idea what to make her. He cautiously walked back to her door a few moments later. He knocked. "What?" she snapped.

"I just wanted to know what you wanted for dinner," he said, forehead against her door.

"I'm not hungry."

"Maybe you'll be hungry by the time I finish making it- what would you like?" She groaned.

"I don't know, soup?" Gray nodded.

"Soup it is," he said with a sigh, walking back to the kitchen to get started on that.

It wasn't until during dinner that she thought to apologize. "Sorry," she mumbled, a cracker going into her mouth. Gray gave her a little smile.

"It's okay," he said with a smile. "There's more on the stove if you want," he said as she finished up. She nodded, going to refill her bowl.

She came back, sitting across from him, sighing as she reached for the last cracker. "It tastes good, thank you." He nodded.

"You're welcome." They ate in silence for a little longer. "Hey, Tiff?"

"Hm?"

"You think you can get a ride with one of your friends tomorrow? O I can give you bus money?" She looked up. "It's a friday, go out with your friends or something."

"Oh," she said with a little smile. "Why are you working over time?" He shrugged.

"You know, things to do." She nodded. "So a ride from a friend?" She nodded.

"Thank you." He smiled. "But why- are we like, broke?" He smiled a little.

"No, but someone's birthday's coming up." She smiled. "And you've been wanting that make-up thing for so lo-"
