kaitlyn's pov
it's time for my date with cody. i haven't spoken to jaden for an entire day and it's starting to bug me. he has no right to be mad at me. he's wrong. this is all his fault.
when cody gets me, i explain everything to him. he feels genuinely horrible for me. i decide to push all of my negative thoughts away from me and enjoy this date night.
"i'm so excited to go ice skating. i haven't been since.." i trail off remembering the first time i went skating here in california with jaden and anthony, "since forever ago." i lie.
"they have a couples skate. wanna participate?" he holds the door open for me.
"of course! that sounds super romantic but also cheesy." i admit.
"it's alright. oh shoot. i must've forgotten my wallet. do you mind?" he gives me a sweet apologetic smile in which i nod in return.
"no problem." i say handing the cashier my credit card.
"i'll pay next time. don't you worry." he promises.
after our date, he drives me back home.
"i had a really great time tonight." i kiss cody on the cheek.
"i'm glad. should i pick you up again for another date tomorrow at six thirty? we'll go out to dinner." he holds my hands in his.
"perfect! should i dress nicer or casual? i want to dress appropriately for the occasion." i double check with him.
"dress nice! i'll take you somewhere expensive." he tucks a strand of my hair behind my ear.
"i guess i'll just have to go pick out a nice dress then. i'll see you tomorrow. text me!" i excitedly say before walking into the house.
"hey hey hey. look who's back." bryce comes to greet me at the front door.
"hey, brycey! where's everyone else?" i greet him back.
"they're around. i've been making dinner. i got so caught up with video editing that i forgot to fix myself up some din din." he walks into the kitchen as i follow.
"care to share? i'm starving." i put my hand on my stomach and take a seat on one of the bar stools.
"grab a plate." he points to the plates cabinet.
"jeez louise! this cabinet is a wreck. i know what i'm going to be doing this week. cleaning this damn kitchen." i complain at how messy the boys are.
"you should see anthony's room." he laughs.
"i don't think i want to." i grab a plate for bryce and myself.
"what's that delicious smell?" josh yells while running down the stairs.
"not for you." bryce turns around.
"aww man. how come there are two plates then?" josh pouts.
"katie asked first. first come first serve now get!" he shoos josh away.
"but i want some." he whines.
"bitch, i just said get lost." bryce pushes him away again.
"okay okay fine. katie, can i have a little bit of your spaghetti?" josh comes up from behind me and hugs me.
"stop sucking up to me. i'm not griffin. i won't budge." i shrug him off of me.
"yeah, nothing like griffin for sure." i hear jaden mutter from across the room.
