Chapter 6
One day later.
Everything was back to normal: The cold metal clamps dug into her aching wrists, The table she was strapped to was ice cold as well, There was a foul-tasting gag in her mouth, The air reeked with the stinging smell of disinfectant, Her poor excuse for clothes clung to her body, dripping with sweat, The walls were a chipping black color, dirty, and familiar... The door opened, the light from outside slicing in. Her eyes stung from the sudden change, and she was plunged back into routine. Four nameless people walked in, then the door closed again. One was armed with a stun gun, they had used it often at the beginning, but Natalie had learned better. She only mustered enough strength and courage to glare at them. Two of the scientists handed half a dozen tubes, similar to the cords used for blood donation, off to a third. He then plugged each cord carefully into the wall as the two who handed them off took their positions. He finished, then gave a nod. The cords he inserted into the wall ended in a needle...
The scientist on the right firmly grabbed her arm, and inserted the cord.
She shuddered.
The next needle was inserted further up her arm, near her shoulder. Four of them went into her legs, and the last two went into her left arm.
That was when routine broke.
Normally the next step was her blood seeping through the tubes, then flowing out of her little dungeon. But this time black goop filled the cords, all coming from her...
Her eyes widened, then her body started to shake on it's own accord.
The scientist with the stun gun's brow furrowed.
No, no wait. I'm not moving on purpose I swear. It's doing this by itself!
He glared, then changed.
Face melting away Lilith stood in his place, still holding the stun gun.
Natalie's body shook harder now, the needles in her limbs seemed to grow in size, the black goop became thicker.
She started tugging against her restraints. Lilith bore down over her, the stun gun replaced with a pocket knife.
The shiny, cold, blade touched her cheek. Then broke skin right under her eye.
Lilith smiled.
The blade arched down her face. But there was no pain.
The cut started to seep black goop. It ran down her face, puddling on the table and the floor, eventually becoming so thick it almost completely covered her eyes.
The needles were huge, nearly the size of her hands. The tubes attached to them were even bigger, and jet black.
She frantically pulled on her wrists. The scarred skin around the shackles broke, adding to the pools of black liquid.
Then she heard the door shut.
Stupid! Come back please. You need me alive don't you?
The slime dripped off her eyes, revealing a cell a foot deep in ink.
She pulled even harder, writhing in her confinements.
Her body shuddered long and deep, then fell limp.
The room began flooding at a faster speed.
The tubes in her arms burst, her face dripped at a faster rate, and the walls themselves seemed to bleed.
