Chapter 23

3 years later

Erin's POV

Today marks 3 years I work as analyst at company in Pattaya. I decided to move to Pattaya after graduated. I still contact with Dad and Papa in Bangkok but Tay. He's probably busy with the company as he announced his retiree from entertainment industry a year ago. I've been busy preparing reports for the CEO as he'll attend to business conference in Bangkok. Business conference will be attended by all CEO in Thailand in order to share their aims and concerns in industry. Once I'm done emailing the report to the CEO, which is Mr. Tul. I immediately go to his office in case there is something that he need me to add for the report.

I walked and smiled to his personal assistant 'May I see Mr. Tul?' his personal assistant is his husband which is Mr. Max. They had married about 5 years and still going strong. He replied 'Sure, you may'. 'Thank you Max' I knocked his door and hear his voice command for me to come inside. 'Erin, I just finished reading the report, I think all the elements that I want is in the report. Good job' he smiled. 'Thank you Mr Tul' 'don't call me Mr. Erin, they know we're cousin, I feel old' I chuckled. Even though we're cousin, I apply to his company just like everyone, been gone through interview with human resource department and none of the process involved Tul. Besides, manager of human resource didn't know I'm Tul's cousin until I got offered a job. Tul built his company from scratch 2 years ago in Pattaya, he left Surat Thani because he missed Pattaya.

'Yahh Erin, you want to join me for the conference. Who knows you'd find boyfriend' He laugh while I'm rolling my eyes at him. 'I would join you but for the sake of business' he scoffed 'You would fall for one of them. I guaranteed because most of the CEO in Thailand is still single' 'They're single because they're busy' I attacked him with facts. He leaned his back in his seat and smirked 'let's see'.

Conference Day - Bangkok

The events crowded with all the representatives of the company mainly the CEOs. Tul, Max and I just arrived at the events, we registered and proceed to the venue. The event will start in 20 minutes, when the mc introduce the guest speaker who will give a talk for the event. We're curious because they only mentioned the guest speaker is someone who is new and competent in the industry.

'The guest speaker for this year is from Wanjaais Company, please welcome Mr. Tay Tawan' My eyes went instantly wide and shock. Wanjaais is Dad company. oh my god, why I have to meet Tay again. He looked so cool when he gave a talk, so charismatic. I missed him, I smile when remember our past, this guy is my ex husband. But then, my chest feel pain whenever remember him and Jess. Are they married? Imagine Tay being a father warm my heart, he's gonna be a good father just like his parent.

3rd POV

Tul looked at Erin when she focus on Tay. He knew Tay was her ex husband but unfortunately he can't attend their wedding and meet Tay because he was busy with final exam. After lunch hour, all the participants mingle around and introduce each other. Erin just follows Tul and Max because she doesn't know anyone here except Tay. She hope she didn't bumped into Tay, but fate being cruel. When she's walking towards Tul, her shoulder hit someone until his drink spilled on his attire. 'oh my God, I'm so sorry Mr' Erin try to wiped the stain on his coat. The person just slapped her hand 'It's alright' Erin feels hurt when the other just push her hand away and once she looked at him. It was Tay, his eyes looked cold and just walk away from her. He just act like he doesn't know her. Erin feels happy when he saw Tay on the stage but his feeling aren't the same with her. Tay seems annoyed with her. Her eyes teary and she went walk outside the venue. Why is it hurt after 3 years? Why is she so sensitive? at the end, Erin decided to go back to hotel and leave Tul.

Tul invite Erin for dinner with potential partner for some project. Erin just agreed and she thinks this dinner would make her forget the incident with Tay.

At restaurant.

Erin approached Tul 'Hey, so who's the partner?' 'you'll see, he's on the way' Tul smiled while Max just look at the menu and ready to order because he's hungry. Erin join Max for the menu and still decide what to eat.

'Hey Tul' someone approach Tul and sit beside her. Erin stiffed and stare at the menu because she knows that voice belong to Tay. Tul introduced us to him while Erin just look down at the menu, she doesn't want to look at Tay.

'This is Max, my assistant and also my beloved husband' Tay shook hand with Max.

'And beside you is Erin, our analyst' 'she seem rude because she didn't look at me' Tay replied.

Erin feels anger when Tay said that. She looked up and give fake smile to Tay 'Nice to meet you Mr. Tay'. Tay just smirked at her. All of them seem immersed with the conversation but Erin just eat her dinner. She doesn't feel excited about this meeting, how Tay slapped her hand away at the event hurts her. The way Tay ignored her and as if he haven't meet before.

Erin's POV

'So, Tul, when are you going back to Pattaya?' Tay asked him. 'Tomorrow but Erin stay because she has a date' Tul winked at me and I just rolled my eyes. Yes, I'll meet my friends, Dad and Papa. Excited to meet them as I have so many stories to tell including this incident. Tay didn't even glanced at me during dinner and his action makes me 'hate' or move on from him easily.

Next day.

I'm on my way to Dad's mansion with taxi. It's been a long time I saw them and i kinda missed them. Once I reach the mansion, I happily walk to the main entrance with my backpack, yes, i'll sleepover there and Papa make sure that Tay won't visit mansion on today. It would be awkward again after last night.

'Dad, Papa, I'm here!'

'Erin!' both of them hugged me tightly and kiss my cheeks.

'Finally you're here, lets have lunch' Dad helping me with my bag and put it in the living room.

While we're happily talking, we heard car coming to the mansion. Papa curious who is coming and went out.

'papa, dad' the voice calling his parents and I knew its Tay. Dad apologized to me as he didn't expect Tay would coming this weekend. I smiled and assured him 'it's alright Dad, I know we'll bumped into each other in the future'.

I ignored his presence and continue my lunch. Everything seems awkward, I wonder where is Jess. I thought they're married but why Tay is coming home alone.

Tay's POV

I didn't know Erin would visit Dad and Papa, I glanced at her and she still looks the same, beautiful. I wonder if she's really move on, I keep praying she would come back to me. I saw her stood up and bring her dishes to the kitchen. I whisper to my parents 'Dad, papa, do you think we still have a chance?' 'Tell her the truth Tay' Dad replied. I guess it's time for me to confessed something.
