Chapter 11

My mom has been calling me for the past 2 days. Since I was still mad at her I never answered her.

I was going to ignore her until she left. I knew she was going to go tomorrow.

I really didn't mind. She was a horrible mother. I always looked up to her but now I realized all the bad things she did.

She never once said goodnight. She always was too busy to play with me. She kept telling me to do these things just so I could be the perfect child.

Then she leaves me with my dad even though she could've taken me with her. And now she started a whole new family to forget about me. Then she has the nerve to come back still not telling me about the new family.

I thought she could be trusted but I was dead wrong. Today was the first day of spring break. We all decided to go to the beach.

I was currently in the car next to soul. But I didn't talk. I was looking out the window and kept thinking to myself.

I was lost out of my thoughts when we arrived. I helped tsubaki set up everything while the other's set up the volleyball net.

Once we were finished I decided to sit and relax. I was about to finnaly sleep but a ball was thrown at my face.

I shrieked and held onto my face that was hurting. I looked to see the gang with a ball. I saw some guy running my direction.

Then I realized it was the guy that was with mamma. "I'm so sorry are you ok!" He said.

I stared in shock until soul came. "Uh yeah i'm fine" I said. He picked up his ball then mamma came. "M-maka what are you doing here and why haven't you answered my calls!" She was practically yelling.

Soul went to me and put a hand on my head and he turned my head to look at him. "Maka are you ok" he said. I smiled at him and nodded my head.

He sighed he knew I had on a fake smile. Then I turned to mamma. "Mamma I made my decision sorry that i'm not sorry but I won't be going with you to California" I said harshly.

She looked at me. Her eye's filled with disappointment and disbelief. "But maka why I wanted you to come with me to be apart of my new family this is john your step dad and your baby brother Caleb" she said.

I sighed. "Sorry mamma but I don't wanna be apart of that family I've wanted us and pappa but that's never gonna happen but now I have this family " I pointed to all my friends.

"If thats what you really want then fine I hope your happy" she said before walking away. I sighed. "Well come on let's play" I said to soul.

I grabbed his hand and ran to the rest of the group. The rest of the day was filled with fun. And once again I felt loved.

This really is my family I thought. We made a sand castle which blackstar destroyed. Soul carried me and threw me into the ocean and it was freezing. So I chased him everywhere. 

Kid kept trying to make the ocean symmetrical but failed miserably. Chrona made a circle in the sand and hid there until I forced him out. Patty was making a girraphe out of sand.

Liz tanned in the sun. After we went for ice cream. We all had fun. But of course there's always an end. We all went home.

I layed in bed smiling. I didn't care about my mom or dad. I use to want a family where we were all happy. But I already have that. The perfect family. With soul, tsubaki, blackstar, kid, liz, patty, and Chrona.

The best family ever.
