Part 24

HELLO CHILDREN!!!!! WELCOME TO ARK 2, I'm excited to have you here!!!!

The cart rolled on the dirt road for a few hours before we reached a nearby town.
It was dark and the only light that was visible was the lanterns and the inside lights bars and Inns.
The cart stops and the man in the front holds out his hand in an sign of payment. Lilly's cloaked figure handed him some gold coins.

He swiped them and whipped his horses to move them forward. Lilly carried the passed out prince into the nearby Inn and ordered the Young Lady that worked the front for a room.
"Busy Night?" She winked at me and Lilly rolled her eyes.

"Definitely."

She guided Lilly to a room and unlocked the room, she handed the keys to Lilly's hand.

Lilly opened the door to the room. On the inside was a small bed and next to it a desk was a wooden chair. Her bed for the night.

She set down William on the bed, it squeaked and groaned with his weight.
Lilly sighed and coved the prince with her cloak.

She slumped down in the wooden chair. Her bag and sword were still on her person, just in case something was to happen.

She felt exhausted mentally and physically. And when she woke up she would have to deal with this shit bag of a prince. Which in itself would be tiring.

Lilly closed her eyes and sunk into a dreamless sleep.

"AGHHHHHHHH"
Lilly fell out of her chair at the loud disturbance.
William looked around frantically, and finally spotted Lilly on the floor.

He was slightly surprised that she was not dressed in a elegant dress. But the more he looked around the more he realized that he himself was not in the royal palace where he was supposed to be.

He pulled the cloak to his chest and pointed a finger at Lilly. "Y-You. Where are we!!??"

Lilly got up of the floor and approached the small bed, she ignored the aches and pains she felt in her bones.

"We are in another country, I... borrowed you for the time being."

Edwin paled and gaped, "I am a crown prince!! You will be hunted and killed for this kind of treason."

Lilly laughed, "Ill kill you before they come. For now, be good."

William shook with anger, "I refuse."

Lilly didn't look surprised, but she did smile.

She leaned onto her hands and got really close to his face, "Do you want to go on a adventure William?"

William was surprised at her question, did he want to go on a adventure?
He was crown prince of a major kingdom, he didn't have time to have fun. He wasn't allowed to have friends, only enemies.

Lilly grinned and held out her hand.
"What do you say there princey?"

William blushed and looked down. He was quiet for a moment before he spoke, "If we get caught I will not take responsibility"

Lilly laughed and clapped him on the shoulder. "Well I'm glad you choose this route. If you said anything else I would have forcefully knocked you out and took you with me by force."

William scowled and got up from his cocoon he made.

Lilly stretches and walks to the bathroom on the other side of room.

William takes in the clothing he has on and blushes once again. 'Someone changed me.'
He looks toward the bathroom with accusatory eyes.

Unknown to the innocent Lilly who was taking care of business.

Lilly and William set out on the road, it was sunny and a light scattering of clouds across the horizon.

They walked on the side of the road until a merchant wagon pulled up beside them.
The man inside the wagons was bury and intimidating, he had a massive beard that covered half of his face and a could probably crush Lilly's scull in half.

William reaches for the sword that Lilly packed, Lilly simply smiled and climbed onto the wagon.

"Hey can you give us a ride to a nearby town?"

The man slowly looked towards her, his muscles rippled with the movement.

"Lilly what are you doing!!!" William whispered to a unperturbed Lilly.

The big burly man did not speak, but nodded and looked forward once more.

Lilly turned and waved at a surprised William. "Get on or we are leaving without you."
William got in the back of the wagon without saying anything more.

Lilly was having a one sided conversation with the burly man.
She rambled in about her favorite food and other things.
William was sleeping the back of the wagon, tossing and turning wishing he had his nice and comfortable bed.

The big burly man looked like he didn't give seven shades of shit about what Lilly was talking about but in reality he was closely paying attention to everything Lilly was saying.

He was rather pleased she wasn't scared of him. People tended to get the wrong idea.
He was on his way home from a job when he saw to young man and women he vaguely thought of giving them a ride. When the girl jumped onto his wagon and asked for a ride, he accepted.
He wanted to talk to her and carry on the conversation but he couldn't.
Back in the day he was a knight of the royal family. One day he overheard a conversation of a plan to kill the third prince.
He immediately acted and took the third prince out to train the day they planned to attack.
Little did he know that the plan was thought of by the the king.

When the king heard of this interruption he had assassins to cut out the knights tongue to stop him from speaking.

The more the Burly man watched the girl the more he noticed that she remained him of his time on the battlefield.
The light in her eyes and how they almost spoke of war and blood.

He shivered, No child should have those kind of eyes.

They reached the town and Lilly and William got off the Wagon. Lilly waved bye to the Big Burly Man. He raised one hand and waved.

The town was packed with people and stations.

A big Banner was painted on a plank of wood hanging on top of the church's entrance.
