The sun had set and Inko, (Y/N) and the old dog name Toshi were sitting in a room. Inko sitting in a rocking chair, holding a book while (Y/N) sitting on her lap. Toshi was sleeping in his dog bed. "Now, here's a story about the noble dog who saved the king from the wicked wizard. Once upon a time."
(Y/N) stopped her mother, not wanting to hear this story, she wanted a story about people her size, "Oh, Mother, please. Are there any stories about little people?" She asks, hopeful while her mother thought for a moment before putting that book away and grabbing another, opening the book. "Well, as a matter of fact there are, (Y/N). Look." Inko jesters to the page where a fairy was.
(Y/N) smiled, "They are little, just like me. But what are those? I don't have those." Inko giggled as she watched her daughter point to the fairies wings, "They're wings, (Y/N). These are fairies, and fairies have wings so they can fly." The small girl looked at her mother curiously, "Mother, have you ever seen a fairy?" Inko thought for a moment before responding, "Well, I thought I did once."
"Really?" (Y/N) asks, really curious if these fairies were real, "Yes. And here, the fairy prince and princess are having a wedding." The girl nodded before finishing her sentence, "And they live happily ever after." Inko nodded, "Oh, usually, dear."
The girl looked down sadly, "Hmm. I suppose it works best...if two people are about the same size."
"Yes, of course." Inko wondered why her daughter seemed sad, "Yes....Well, that's not fair. I must be the only little person in the whole world. I wish I were big." She says sitting on the books page. Her mother eyes widening, "Oh, no, (Y/N). No. Don't ever wish to be anything, but what you are." (Y/N) didn't reply, her mother picked her up carefully and placed the book to the side before getting up, "Bedtime, my dear. It's been a long day. You must go to sleep now."
Inko places her daughter into a bed that was made out of a walnut. It had a cotton ball as the bedding and make shift blanket, even a makeshift pillow. "Sleep tight." Inko says, before she was stoped by her daughters voice, "Mother?" Her mother looked at her, "Mm-hm?"
"Would you please leave the book open?"
Inko nodded, "Of course, dear." She picks up the walnut bed and places it down, setting up the book where (Y/N) could see it, I wanna look at the pictures while I go to sleep."
Inko nodded, "There."
"Good night, Mother."
"Good night, (Y/N)."
Inko walked off before turning towards her bed, "You take good care of her, Toshi."
"Hmm!" The dog nods, causing Inko to giggle and pat his head. Inko has then walked off to her room and entered, giving (Y/N) the chance to get up and look at the book before heading to the window. She starts to sing,
I know there's someone. Somewhere. Someone Who's sure to find me. Soon. After the rain goes there are rainbows. I'll find my rainbow. Soon! Soon it won't be just pretend! Soon a happy ending! Love, can you hear me?" She walks towards the book and looks at the fairy prince on it while Toshi walks close as he hears her song, "If you're near me sing your song. Sure and strong. And soon." She sighed before walking towards Toshi, "I wonder if there really are such things as fairies." She says while Toshi nods, wondering the same thing.
Now outside, during the full moon night the fairies were turning everything to Autumn. Each riding a different butterfly. "Oh, my dear. Don't look now, Masaru, but our son is missing again." She says, "So he is Mitsuki. I think he feels a bit silly, riding that white butterfly we gave him."
"Why would that brat feel silly? It is a beautiful butterfly and he should be grateful we gave it to him." The fairy king laughs, "It makes the wrong impression on the young ladies." Mitsuki rolls her eyes, "What about the impression on the court? Masaru, it is the autumn today and we've begun the golding of the leaves. He should be here."
