"It was really nice to see your school, Y/N. I didn't expect it to be some old castle though..."

"The first time around, neither did I."

Ellie was currently standing just outside the vast gates of the Hogwarts grounds with Professor McGonagall. Y/N was standing on the other side of the gate, both were saying their farewells. Many hugs had already been exchanged between the two siblings.

It had been a day since the second task, and both Ellie and Gabrielle (who had become surprisingly good friends in the short time they knew each other) had spent it in the Hogwarts hospital wing until Madam Pomfrey dismissed them. Since Ellie was a Muggle, she had not been allowed to venture far beyond the wards of the hospital wing, but she had still seen enough of the castle to be in awe of it. Though, Y/N noticed that she eyed some of the magical staircases and moving portraits with trepidation. He assumed that she still hadn't fully gotten over her fear of Magic.

Professor McGonagall had already taken Gabrielle home, and now it was Ellie's turn.

"I'll see you during the the summer, okay?" Y/N said. "Tell Annie not to worry any more than she already has."

Ellie nodded in response. She had been glad that she had managed to see him at least once during this year, seeing as he had missed the Christmas holidays.

"I hope you're ready then, Miss Anchor?" McGonagall asked her softly. "If my information is correct, you've already experienced Side-Along Apparition, have you not?"

Ellie's face went blank at the mention of the word 'Apparition'. "Pardon?"

Y/N held back a snicker. "Remember when we went to the Quidditch World Cup with Bill?"

"You mean when he teleported us to that forest?"

"Yeah."

Now it was Professor McGonagall's turn to look bewildered. "Teleported?" she repeated in confusion.

Y/N let out a snort of laughter. "Nevermind, Professor. Just please remember be calm around Annie. I've already sent her the letter, but she's not very fond of wizards at the moment, and she may try and scream at you when you show up at the door."

"I'll keep that in mind, L/N," assured Professor McGonagall. "Off we go then. Hold on tight, please, Miss Anchor."

Ellie barely has time to wave another hurried goodbye when they both spun on the spot and vanished with a pop.

Y/N's eyes lingered on the empty space where they had been standing for a moment before shaking his head and turning to trudge along the path back to the castle. First lesson was soon, and Harry was just about to be discharged from the hospital wing.

As he crossed the threshold of the castle and walked to the hospital wing, he could already hear Hermione and Harry's voices. Harry seemed to be laughing jovially.

"Seriously? He wet his trousers?"

"He did. And then George turned him into a ferret!"

Y/N walked into the hospital wing just as Harry began snorting with mirth. He was sitting upright in his bed and Hedwig was perched on his shoulder, gently nuzzling into his head.

"Talking about the time we pranked Malfoy?" Y/N smirked.

Hermione nodded. Harry was too busy wiping tears of joy from his eye to respond.

"Hedwig really missed you, you know," Y/N told Harry. "She always pretended she wasn't, but it was obvious."

Hedwig twittered indignantly in response. Harry reached out and affectionatly stroked her feathers.
