"I have many concerns, Nymphadora."

"Don't call me Nymphadora."

"My apologies."

Dumbledore's office was emptied of all inhabitants instead of Tonks and Dumbledore himself. Both had an aura of seriousness that could not be ignored.

"You have concerns? I didn't agree to come here to listen to your concerns. Why has his condition been kept a secret from him for so long?" Tonks snapped. "Why have you kept it all from him? Why does have to go through so much crap because you haven't been telling him anything?"

"I assure you that I had Y/N's best interests at heart, Tonks," Dumbledore replied. "I was not aware that he had modified a Portkey."

"Forget the Portkey!" she said angrily. "You still haven't told him about the Prophecy?"

"I have not, and for good reason."

"Oh, I'd love to hear it."

"I fear that Y/N is going dark." said Dumbledore solemnly.

"What are you talking about?" came Tonks' incredulous reply.

"When I first met him, he reminded me very strongly of another dark wizard I had met during his adolescence. Y/N may not be completely there yet, but one can only dread the possibilities of the future. I am not guilty of a silent tongue. I had voiced my concerns to him this time last year, and since then, nothing has changed. He has made no effort to change his violent behaviour or twisted viewpoint of the world. If anything, it has become worse. You've heard of the way in which he incapacitated Barty Crouch. It was not something a normal fifteen year old boy would do."

"So he's a little violent," Tonks sneered. "what does that prove? It just means that he's taking the steps that you've always been too afraid to make! I've heard stories of the way you dealt with things back in the days of the Order of the Phoenix, Dumbledore. You were always irritatingly soft on any captured Death Eaters, too afraid to truly punish them for their vile actions. And look where that's got us! An excuse of a Minister, Ex-Death Eaters running rampant in the Ministry, claiming that they've seen the error of their ways, and a bucket load of incidents at the end of every bloody school year since Y/N first joined."

"There is always a better way than violence, Nymph - Tonks."

"Always?" she scoffed. "If you don't mind me saying, Professor, you have a gift for talking much and saying little. Y/N is the opposite. He talks little, but says more than you could ever know or even understand."

"Y/N is moving down a dark path." Dumbledore said stubbornly. "If this does not cease, then he may have to be forcefully removed."

"What the hell are you implying, Dumbledore?" Tonks hissed.

"Banishment from the wizarding world."

"One of your own students was killed today, you barmy old fart!" Tonks roared. "Y/N was the one who prevented the same from happening to Harry Potter! Y/N was the one who took down Crouch! Y/N was the one who took true necessary precautions to keep one of the champions safe, which should have been your job! How much more does he have to suffer due to the Ministry's and your own mistakes?"

Dumbledore buried his face in his hands, looking tired and old. "I will be reassembling the Order of the Phoenix this summer, Tonks." he sighed. "Y/N has no family, and if he is aware of this, I am sure that nothing will stop him from wanting to join the Order. This cannot be allowed, for his own safety, and for the safety of others. I must insist that you talk some sense into him when that time comes."
