In the time it had taken for Hermione to get over her shock, most of the Great Hall had already filed out into the grounds. Her hands trembling, she dashed from her seat and out of the doors.

As she pounded down the lawn she saw the seats that had encircled the dragons' enclosure in November were now ranged along the opposite bank, rising in stands that were slowly filling up with students. The excited babble of the crowd echoed strangely across the water as Hermione ran into the stands, taking her seat anxiously.

Y/N was already at the champions platform, and it was not really surprising that he was being held back by Hagrid as he lunged at the judges table.

"What the fuck did you do with my sister?!" he shouted, his voice trembling with anger.

The students surrounding Hermione in the stands were already gossiping and laughing. She could hear their sneering and condescending voices as they sniggered at the boy who was losing his infamous cool.

"What's he all mad about?"

"Doesn't he know that they'll keep the hostages safe?"

"What a drama-queen."

"I bet he's just doing it for more attention..."

"That prick."

Hermione clenched her fists in response to their voices. They were idiots. All of them, blind, foolish idiots. Had they not seen what had happened to Harry? Did they not understand that the 'safety' of this godforsaken Tournament was nothing but an illusion?

"Y/N, calm down," Hagrid pleaded, as Y/N struggled in his vice grip. "Yer sister'll be fine, Dumbledore won't let anything bad happen ter the hostages."

"Didn't work so well with Harry, did it?" Y/N snarled. "Didn't Dumbledore say that he'd keep Harry safe, too? Are they going to take responsibility if my sister dies today? Or are they just going to pretend it didn't happen, like they did with Harry?"

At the judges table, Professor Karkaroff and Madame Maxime were giving the raging fourth champion extremely reproachful and disapproving glares, Dumbledore seemed a little surprised, but Bagman and Percy were clearly struggling to surpress their grins.

This was precisely what Bagman wanted to see. The monster of Y/N L/N had been unleashed, providing the entertainment Bagman had been hoping for. This Tournament has become great again, and it's all thanks to me. He thought happily. I wouldn't be surprised if I got a promotion for this.

Percy simply thoroughly enjoyed watching this desperate side of L/N that he had never seen before. After three whole years of the little brat neglecting and ignoring Percy's authority, it was finally time. It was finally time for Percy to put his foot down, and prove to the son of Harriet Mandeville that Percy Weasley was the one in charge here. Percy Weasley was the one with the power. Percy Weasley could turn the famously calm Y/N L/N into a fear-filled disaster.

And don't you ever forget that L/N. Percy thought with a satisfied smirk. Don't you ever forget your place.

"I must say, Ludo, I was surprised when I discovered that Miss Anchor would be secured as Y/N's hostage," Dumbledore said to Bagman, though it was loud enough for Y/N and the the other champions to hear. "I was under the assumption that it was supposed to be Miss Granger."

"Well, plans change, Dumbledore," said Bagman simply.

"You did seek the consent of Miss Anchor's legal guardian before bringing her here, did you not?" Dumbledore questioned suspiciously.

I didn't really need to, the girl is an orphan. Bagman thought triumphantly. "Of course I did, Dumbledore."

Dumbledore still looked rather suspicious, but said, "Very well, then."
