"I knew you were trouble when you walked in...." I sang along in whispers while tying my hair in a ponytail, followed by brushing the fringes out.

I took a proper glance of myself in the mirror in front of me, reassuring myself that I look fine.

Full sleeved white shirt, black pencil skirt, nude wedges and a high ponytail. Looks formal enough, does it?

And he's long gone
When he's next to me
And I realize
The blame is on me...

I picked up my phone and turned off the song playing.

Nervousness crept all over me as made my way to my car and sat myself in the driving seat. I sighed while putting on the seatbelt.

Today's my job interview and I'm really anxious about it now. Although I was pretty confident earlier, I'm a wreck on the inside at this point of time.

I really need this job. I've applied in various other companies but this one is the best in town. I can't help but keep praying to God for things to unfold in my favour.

After driving for about twenty minutes in the crowded lanes of Mumbai, I finally reached my destination.

I read the signboard and then parked my car in the parking lot. After taking my files and documents, I got off the car and exhaled deeply before reaching the elevator.

Following the signs for the job applicants, I finally reached the tenth floor where I was asked to be seated in the waiting room until my turn arrives.

On seeing the number of people applying for the post, I almost fainted. How will I even get selected amongst this ocean of people?!

"Calm down." I mumbled to myself and patted my chest lightly.

"Applicant KC41, please report." I heard an announcement.

I quickly went through my file to recheck my id, and that's it, its my turn.

"All the best Samikhya." I wished myself while walking to the cabin I'm supposed to present myself in.

The door was locked so I gently knocked at it.

"Turn the knob in the clockwise direction and report in." I heard a computerised voice and did as ordered.

"I obviously know how to open a door." I huffed to myself while entering in.

"What did you say?" I heard a masculine voice and looked upto to see a somewhat familiar face speaking to me.

"Umm.. good afternoon sir." I greeted him with a bow.

It feels like I'm seen him somewhere before but I just can't recall where. It's kind of frustrating.

"Can you repeat what you said?" He asked me with a smirk playing on his lips.

"The announcement, uh I-" I tried explaining but he cut me off.

"So you know how to open a door right? Then you must be knowing who I am, please introduce me." He giggled.

"I'm sorry sir I didn't mean it that way.." I trailed it off.

"No no its fine, go on, introduce me." He laughed and I mentally rolled my eyes.
