Camila

My feet dig into the soft, cool sand. Shawn's very presence with me on this beach makes my heart pound. We sit down in the sand and look at the sea in silence for a moment. It's getting dark, but it's so nice here.

"Camila, I thought you should know. I was in the hospital a few days ago for an allergic reaction... It was no big deal, but I don't want to keep anything from you because then I might tell lies or-"

I pressed one finger to his lips, my face concerned. "Are you okay?" I ask. He nods. "Ok, then I'm okay. I'm glad you told me." I say softly. Shawn just nods. I scoot closer and lean into him. He wraps one arm around me and puts his head on mine. We fit so perfectly.

"Shawn," I asked quietly, "What do you think about going to a party with me next week?" I asked tentatively. Shawn looks at me and smiles,

"Of course Camz, I'd love to. Whose party is this? I hope it's someone good, the big popular parties are always the best." He winks. Ever since our relationship became public he's made little comments about going big places. I smile at him. His closeness is getting to me. He leans and closer in their foreheads touch gently. And then he's kissing me, his lips fitting into mine perfectly our bodies fitting together like glue. His hands rake my hair, my fingers trace his neck. The beach is too sloped. We slide down. One of his forearms rests across my body in the sand, to steady himself. I'm laying flat, his body over mine as I cup his face and kiss him harder.

"I love you." He mumbles. I sigh, content.

"And I'm starting to believe you." I breathe.

"Good." He sighs back.

"I have nothing to wear." I decided and tossed the last dress onto my bed and flopped down on it in exasperation. Taylor sighed.

"Camila, most of those dresses are gorgeous. You just aren't seeing them correctly." She said, picking up one I'd missed. I held the flowery dress up, remembering the photoshoot I wore it for. I liked it at the time, but now... I threw it back down. Taylor groaned. "Camila-" I held a hand up.

"Taylor, you look great, how about you pick something out for me?" I decided, since we both knew I would never finalize on an outfit. Taylor nods and turns to my heaping pile of dresses and gowns and New Years appropriate outfits. She made two piles of my one and then started attacking one of them, finally coming up with a black dress with a cut up to my left thigh and one shoulder sleeved with a band around my neck. I'd worn the dress for a photoshoot... with seventeen magazine, I think. Once. I decided it's decent and put it on. Taylor does my hair, since I can't do it to save my life, and she does a french braid into a flower bun, with a few smaller braids going into the flower, and I love it, but it doesn't seem like enough. Not for him. Taylor promises it's amazing, and I reluctantly agree and we go.

I approached the front door and knocked lightly. Ariana threw it open.

"CAMILAAAAA!" She cried and threw her arms around me. I laughed and hugged her back. "TAYLORRRR!" Ari switched over to Taylor, who laughed too. She's drunk. Tay mouthed at me. I laughed. Ariana pulled us inside. "Oh my gosh you gotta meet everyone! Gaga's here and so is Ally, but of course you know her... So many big names here tonight! Lewis is playing DJ but I think Billie's gonna kick him off it. For being so young, she's awfully old.... And emo..." Ariana darted over to the kitchen the moment we were inside. Ariana's house was gorgeous, and big, of course... We spun around, talking to everyone. Selena Gomez was there, Ed Sheeran was there, Cardi B was there. A lot of big names. I felt mildly honored to be celebrating with them. But then I saw him and the whole world faded. He saw me too and his eyes lit up. He pushed through popular people all the way over to me. His smile made me smile and then we were both grinning like idiots.

"Hey Shawn." I said, and he wrapped his arms around me. "Hey Camila." He breathed into my hair.

"OHMYGOSH CAMILA GET OVER HERE!" that was Ally yelling at me. I grinned and pulled Shawn over to where Ally was talking to Taylor and Lauren.

"Camila!" Lauren hugged me and Taylor raised a teasing eyebrow as she looked from me to Shawn. I gave her a shy smile in return.

"OK, ok, ok, Camila so like, Romance came out, and it is amazingggggg like, great job baby, I believed in you." Ally said in her overly excited voice. I smiled.

"Thanks Ally!" I said, smiling. Ally turned on Lauren.

"And you better release some bops too. Ug I'm so happy today!" And Ally whirled off towards the kitchen.

"Or so drunk." Lauren laughed. I snickered, and then noticed Taylor was watching Shawn play with my hair.

"What?" I asked. Taylor smiled, but shrugged.

"Are you cancelling Lover Fest?" I asked, changing the subject. Taylor sighed.

"I'm postponing it... for now." Taylor frowned. "What about you?" She asked.

"I'm at least postponing, but I don't know how well tickets would sell if I reschedule..." I sighed. "I don't really know what I'm doing. The stupid coronavirus is probably going to get worse... it's so annoying." I frowned but Shawn's arms wrapped around my waist and suddenly I didn't care about the tour. I smiled and leaned into him happily. He tucked me under his chin.

Taylor went on to talk about something or other about remodeling something in her house. I tilted my head up towards him and he looked down at me. We bumped noses. His breath mingled with mine, faster than normal. I noticed Lauen and Tay had stopped talking. He nuzzled my cheek with his nose and I turned my head to meet his lips. We pulled away for a second. I smiled and kissed him again. Someone whistled. I didn't really care. This time when I pulled away we touched foreheads and noses.

"I love you." He murmured too quiet for anyone to hear. I hummed. Then I turned back to my friends. Lauren's face was stunned and Taylor's face was frustratingly smug.

"Since- Since when?" Lauren demanded. Shawn chuckled lowly but didn't respond, as he was busy running his open lips up and down my jaw.

"A few months." I admitted. This time Shawn pulled away.

"That would be almost seven, Camila." Shawn corrected. I blinked. Then furrowed my eyebrows. I counted on my fingers. July, August, September, October, November, December, January-

"Oh my gosh." I said quietly. Taylor and Shawn laughed. Lauren blinked.

"What?" She said finally. Then she grinned and looked at Tay. "Did we call it, or did we call it?"

"We called it." Taylor agreed. Ally returned with Ariana who were both stumbling around already, and so Shawn and I dismissed ourselves. Keeping a hand on my back, Shawn pushed us through the crowd until we came to the living room, where surprisingly, there were less people.

"This is so weird." Shawn said quietly. I smiled.

"What, going to a party?" I asked. He shook his head.

"No. Being with you in front of people. Not hiding it." He smiled. "I like it." He met my eyes. I bit my lip, smiling. I reached up and threaded my arms around his neck, pulled his face to mine and kissed him. He wrapped his arms around my waist tightly and kissed me back. He turned, so I was pressed against the wall. I put my hands in his hair and sighed content, against his lips. He kissed my cheek, jaw, and collarbone before pulling away barely. He nudged my nose and stayed so close his breaths mingled with mine.

"My place after?" Shawn breathed. I nodded, bumping our foreheads in the process.

"SHAWN!" Someone screamed. We pulled apart to find out what celebrity was calling us now.
