Roleplays have really become kinda stiff haven't they?
They don't really feel as fun. Making relationships between certain characters has kinda taken out a big part of it.
What happened to letting things happened, the fluidity and stuff? Letting the characters make the big decisions and not the users or the owner.
like how one characters actions could change the entire plot of the roleplay? making things up as you go?
some roleplays just feel like a straight narrow pathway and everyone your character codes something that wasn't planned you're told "no". it feels like you're just carrying out a script.
of course things like genocide or killing other people's characters isn't okay, but what happened to the unpredictable and fun part of rping?
i miss that.
i think that's kind of what makes some of the less literate role players more fun. they don't over think their plots or responses.
they give a set up and a premise and let the ocs do what the ocs would naturally do.
they don't plan character arcs, they just. happen
they don't plan out the villains, or the solution, or relationships. they just go for it and have fun.
so yeah. I think that should come back
