"Nessie?! You nicknamed my daughter after the Loch Ness monster?!?"
I awoke with a start. For a second, I couldn't remember what day it was. Then it hit me. Today was the day. The beginning of VampCon. What's VampCon, you ask? Only the largest and best vampire convention in the whole tri-state area. Anyone who is anyone will be there. And I'm gonna get an entrance pass if it's the last thing I do.
I got up, got dressed, and headed downstairs to eat a bowl of honey nut cheerios before heading out. "Mom, I'm going out with some friends!" I called towards my mother's room as I headed out the door. There's no need for her to know about my obsession with vampires. What good would it do her to know? Bless her, we'll let her believe I'm a normal teenager for a little bit longer.
I walked to the bus stop and met my friends Danica and Roger. They are also so obsessed with vampires and are trying to get into the convention with me. "Anyone manage to get a pass yet?" I polled the group, already knowing the answer.
"No luck here," Roger said.
"Me neither," Danica reported.
"Well, I guess we'll have to just show up and make do," I told my friends, trying to think of any other ways to get into the convention.
"We could always just sneak in through the back," Roger helped.
"As if. As if this isn't the biggest vampire convention in the tri-state area. As if security won't be on high alert. As if we could just waltz on in through the back." I had to put Roger in his place. He could be quite stupid sometimes.
Once off the bus, we all made our way towards the convention center. There was already a line out the door of people trying to get in, both with and without passes.
"No entry without a pass! And no more passes for sale!" A security guard was yelling by the entrance. There seemed to be no way in without a pass. Why did the passes have to be so expensive? And sell out so quick?
"I HAVE to meet Kristen Stewart. I did not ride a bus all the way to this convention to not meet Kristen Stewart." I told my friends. Who is Kristen Stewart, you ask? Only the baddest bitch in the vampire world. Um, hello? Ever heard of twilight? Yeah, that bitch.
"Well, maybe we should go around the side and see if there's a maintenance door or stage door or something. Maybe we could find some janitor costumes and sneak in that way. Couldn't hurt to try!" Danica said. God, this is why I love Danica. So freaking smart. What would I do without her?
With that, we left the crowd at the entrance and began to make our way around the side of the convention center. As we crept around the side of the building, a security guard suddenly appeared.
"Quick! Behind that dumpster!" I whispered feverishly as we all three scurried to hide behind the dumpster sitting nearby. The security guard passed, and the coast was clear again. As we came back from around the corner of the dumpster, someone else came rushing around the same corner, crashing into me and knocking me to the ground.
"Hey, watch where you're-" I paused as I looked up and saw who knocked me down. The long flowing dark brown hair. The exuberant glowing green eyes. The sexy smirk. She looked straight out of the Eclipse movie. It was Kristen Stewart.
