"Oh! I'm so sorry! I didn't even see you there!" She reached down and stuck a hand out to help me up. I reluctantly accepted, sweating. I could already feel a crush forming in the back of my chest.
"I'm Kristen. What's your name?"
"I'm Liz," I said calmly. "These are my friends Danica and Roger."
"Nice to meet you! I'm so sorry I knocked you down and got you all dirty. Do you guys have passes to the convention yet?" Kristen retorted with grace.
"N-no, we actually don't," I admitted. "They sold out so we were actually back here trying to sneak in." I figured honesty is the best policy, and Kristen seemed trustworthy.
"Well you're in luck, because I happen to have three extra passes! Here ya go!" And she happily handed over passes to each of us. She gave Danica and Roger general admission passes, then paused before she gave me mine. As I reached out to take it, we made eye contact, holding it for what seemed like minutes but I'm sure was only a few seconds. As our hands touched, transferring the pass, I felt a spark of electricity. Was it just me, or did Kristen Stewart just wink at me?
"Make sure you guys come to my panel. It's at noon. See ya there!" And with that, she scampered into the convention center through the stage door.
"Did we really just meet THE Kristen Stewart?" Roger asked, starstruck.
"Yeah, and she didn't even ask what OUR names were!" Danica countered, punching Roger in the arm. "She sure took a real fancy to you though, Liz!"
"You think so?" I wondered. Maybe I hadn't imagined it. Maybe she actually had winked at me. Danica seemed to notice something between us. And hadn't she just invited us to go see her panel? Does this mean she wants to see me again? I looked down at my pass. It was VIP access.
