Life sure as hell wasn't the same one you lived back home. After meeting the two infamous cliques from your university, things were beginning to feel different, for example people were a lot nicer than you expected them to be. You also came across those who gave you weird stares as if they had something to say. They never did, continuing with the same gazes, you didn't think much of it at first, but eventually caught on when a random girl snapped a picture of you and Hendery hugging, like you usually did whenever you returned from the weekend break. Isn't that normal? You thought about it and then realized these guys weren't only known for being loaded. Their families' names were also pretty big around the city. Ah so that's why they hate me? you thought about it after receiving yet another disgusted face as you entered the next lecture of the day. There were also those sweet ones, questioning you if you had eaten. Soon you noticed a few of them were only kind in hopes you brought them along with the rest. The thing is you had no idea you'd end up befriending Lucas, at first you thought the two of you would be civil and respect each other's space but after that little incident he said your aura felt nice. Hendery agreed, in which you responded confirming you felt the same. Especially with the one who made you feel more at ease. It's not that you weren't with everyone else, Yangyang had way too much energy, and well Ten... Yeah
You comfortably laid atop the many blankets, scrolling through the last assignment you had just finished.
Lucas was out again, frankly, he was never there, and whenever he did appear the guy was too high to hold a conversation. Sometimes you wondered why he consumed so much then again it wasn't your place. Despite that being true you still found yourself caring. Which trails you back to Ten. He, unfortunately, hasn't opened up, either sure it was easier to talk to Lucas, but you can't lie and say you actually 'know' him. You were unsure if, Ten hated you or just found you annoying whichever it was you really hoped it'd fade away because it was beginning to get to you. Throughout your 18 years of living, you've never clashed with such jitteriness let alone heard 'shut up' as much as the man who has you walking around eggshells say. It was fascinating, truly. Last week you counted exactly 177. In a day.
"Oh," you muttered quickly pushing 'enter' and managed to send in your report a minute before it was due, "That was a close one" you would then whisper, going through your Pinterest page as the sound of rain hitting against the rooftop suddenly became your new melody aside from, One Direction's, Fools Gold.
"Do you normally talk to yourself?" someone's voice talked over the glorious symphonies, chuckling at your shocked expression. You had jumped out of bed, laptop slamming with the carpet as you stared over at Lucas' side of the room. Ten. "I recall reading somewhere, people who tend to talk to themselves usually carry psychopathic tendencies" yeah and I'm going to end up murdering you one day, his smirk only enlarged at your reaction, finding it absolutely pleasing how well you gave in. This was one of the countless reasons you didn't comprehend him. Either stay being mean or act this way, at least, you're smiling. Oh no, what am I saying?
"How long have you been here? You know, I changed d-did.." your eyes widen, cheeks forming the darkest crimson with the idea that he saw you undress once you got home. Ten wasn't able to contain his laughter, throwing himself back on the pillow and shook his head at your current breakdown. "I've been sleeping this entire time, just woke up because your singing suddenly became my new alarm clock" he teased, rising from his friend's bed. That pretty flushed he's often met with was nearly gone when it abruptly, coated your skin once more, flashbacks of your singing session coming back. You were too occupied trying to erase those images from your mind unaware someone has made it over to the edge of your bed, that someone being, Ten.
The boy wore a pair of grey joggers, a plain black shirt, and some socks, he sure looked cozy you thought, printing this glowy scenery of him and a bunch of cats cuddling, the silky chocolaty lock of hair shinning ever so lovely as he brought a kitten up to nuzzle his nose with. Wait. You've been gawking at the white material longer than expected to see them closer than they were earlier. "Here" Ten had retrieved your laptop from the floor, handing it back to you after cleaning over the brand new scratch it sadly received. "I'll make sure and order you a new one, after all, it was partially my fault" he swung his head lightly, words slurring around you weren't certain if you were imaging things again and instead grabbed the device meeting with his piercing gaze. "Are his eyes always this red?" Deep down he really felt guilty, but of course, that pride he owned or, owned him, didn't allow him to apologize how others do. The thought was nice though. He's trying.
"You know you should be more precautious, close your curtains while you undress. We have a lot of weirdos around campus" he suggested, backing away waiting on you to finally gather enough clues and, "YOU LITTLE!" you were nodding at every word he blurted too focused on the fact, Ten was finally being somewhat decent when it hit you. No, it slapped you right across.
There you were gripping onto his t-shirt, bodies clasped against one another, you weren't quite sure what your next move was, but the rage spreading uncontrollably compelled you to act out and almost continued, shortly you ended up letting go and glanced at your rolled-up fist. "I didn't see anything was just looking out for perves" Ten tilted his head, lowering his head so he'd get a better glimpse of you, dark almonds beaming when you finally stared back.
"I promise" he assured you, holding onto your fist. Then you finally realized that awful smell, my god it was strong. "Are you drunk?" you asked, taking in more of the other's aroma, Ten cupped your face playfully shaking your head side to side, he was seconds from leaning in when someone barged in causing you two to break apart.
"You really took it too far this time, dad is gonna kill you" Yangyang was no longer the person you met 2 weeks ago, he remained serious, yanking Ten from his collar and shoved him towards the entrance. "Wait-" you attempted to find a solution to whatever this was, but it was no used, Yangyang, flipped over to your side, sighing in response, disappointment inevitably showing "I'm terribly sorry, Y/n. When he gets this way he's overbearing and doesn't compromise. If you need any repairments, I'll transfer you cash later.." with that the two men were out, Ten putting up a fight, shouting that he wasn't causing trouble for once. He begged to stay a little longer, vowing to be on his best behavior, Yang didn't agree, dragging the intoxicated body to his car. Where is he taking him that he's so anxious? Why did you get this wasted in the first place? You didn't think any of your questions would be answered anytime soon and contemplated over what just happened.
"Hey, roomie" Lucas swayed his way into the dorm, instantly threw himself on the wrinkled-up bedsheets, and drifted off to some sleep. Yup he's also drunk
