Flashback....

One and a half years.

That's how long Eric had been together with Adam.

And now, in front of him stood the most amazing man.

He was kneeling down, a small ring in a simple black box in his hand.

He had not been expecting that when he came back from his business trip abroad.

"Eric, I know that this is the last thing you expected to happen but I  feel like we are ready. I  know you haven't announced our relationship to the public and it's okay. You'll do so when ready. We've been through so much together and I want us to share our experiences for the rest of our lives, both good and bad. So, will you marry me?"

Eric was speechless.

He didn't have any doubt about the answer, he was obviously going to say yes.

But there were going to be repuccasions.

On one hand, he knew he couldn't live without Adam,  the man who knew him more than anyone else.

He'd seen him through his depression and had to endure the countless nights of him crying till dawn.

He was always there, never leaving his side.

Getting married would mean he had to tell the world about them.

About how he was a closeted bisexual.

Doing that meant losing his business, everything he had worked for.

All his hopes and dreams gone down the drain.

And he wasn't sure he was ready to deal with  that.

But looking at the man on his knee, he knew he didn't have the heart to say no.

Smiling, he said yes and watched as the ring was slipped into his finger.

He stood and they kissed before Adam pulled away, saying he had to go tell his friends and family while Eric went to get some rest as he was tired.

But he could not get any sleep.

He kept on tossing and turning in the bed, thinking about everything.

He loved Adam.

He also loved the company.

He had spent his childhood thinking about building his own company and he had achieved it.

But he also wanted to be loved ever since he lost his brother as a kid.

Maybe he could find a way to work it all out.

He had to find one, or else he was screwed.

Sighing, he got out of bed and went to check his schedule.

He was sure it would be busy with him having closed one of the biggest deals in history .

He had over a dozen interviews and a lot of meetings between now and the next weekend , after which he would have that time off.

Then a thought struck him.

If he could secure his wealth before the wedding then he could come out and tell everyone.

All he had to do was buy as many shares as possible to make him a majority shareholder.

He owned about 40% and he had enough money to buy 35% more.

Feeling proud of himself , he went back to bed.

He would talk to his lawyers first thing tomorrow morning.
