"Everything seems to be alright, there's its little heartbeat," Madam Pomfrey pointed at the screen, casting a quick spell to clean the cool gel from Genevieve's abdomen.

She had been up at the crack of dawn, puking up last night's dinner as the morning sickness took its toll. Between the bombardments of help from professor and student alike, Genevieve was beginning to feel the full effect of the pregnancy on her body. Now, herself and Severus were sitting in the hospital wing going over a routine check before class began.

"Have you discussed any names yet?" the mediwitch asked, grabbing a few potions from her desk.

Holding Severus' hand, Genevieve answered with a bashful smile, "There's a few up in the air but nothing concrete yet."

"Well, you'd want to get a move on, the bump's going to be visible soon." the matron reminded them, closing the curtain behind her as she left the pair.

As soon as she left, Genevieve fixed her blouse, tucking it back into her pale blue trousers and slipping back on her pumps.

"We're having a baby Severus, can you believe it?" Genevieve mused.

"Everyday, " he replied, placing a kiss on her temple.

Once they were free to leave, Severus helped the witch off the cot. Genevieve graciously took the potions Madam Pomfrey prescribed, thanking her on the way out as she linked arms with her potions master.

"I have choir practise now, but I'll see you at supper." Genevieve reminded him, giving him a quick peck on the lips as she made her way up the grand staircase.

"Don't stress yourself out!" Severus called up to her, knowing how seriously she took the choir

Laughing at his comment, Genevieve shouted down the staircase," I never do!" knowing right well it was a lie.

Choir practice that day entailed a lot of mistakes, a lot of mistakes.

"Right everyone, take out your lyrics. We're going to go straight into the first chorus since you should already have the opening learned." Sitting down at the piano, Genevieve played the melody, going through each groups line," Soprano 1, repeat after me: Come, said the Muse, Sing me a song no poet yet has chanted,"

Her voice was immaculate and angel-like, but now it was the children's turn. They looked at each other with uncertainty, before barely making a sound when Genevieve joined them with music.

"Why aren't you singing? The words are there in front of you." she confronted them, stepping away from the grand piano.

One of the older girls spoke up for the group, "It's too high Miss."
