whatever i drank tasted
of stark white blood running through
a vision's veins,
of liquid envy,
of bitter white lies
and needles drowned in flames.

my insides were on fire,
an ever lasting acid stabbing my lungs,
filling them with a foul substance to the brim.

i scream and i scream and i scream,
yet nothing changes.

i can feel the rotten flesh clutching my arms,
eyes of stone and void gleaming with a curse.

i bleed and i bleed and i bleed,
yet it's never enough.

but with time the pain became dull
it didn't feel as if my
eardrums were being sewn anymore,
now it was only the gentle flap
of a siren's wings at the back of my skull.

the enchanted mirror broke into shards
of a watery mess and a light was pulled
in the centre of the darkness,
a golden faerie that couldn't escape
death's grasp.

i realised it was you,
my star-crossed lover
caught in the murky silver strings.
