7: New Territory

They had a daughter...

    Amira woke with a smile on her face. It was so nice to be having normal dreams again. Dreams that she didn't really remember and that weren't memories. She practically skipped as she got dressed in a royal blue sweatshirt and leggings. Chloe wasn't awake yet, and Amira didn't want to go down to breakfast alone, so she sat in a chair next to her bed and read her book. When Chloe finally woke up they headed down to breakfast. 

    After breakfast, Chloe took Max and Amira on a tour of the castle. The castle was magnificent. It had many more floors than Ilvermorny and was practically a maze. There were numerous classrooms and corridors. However just as Amira expected, Chloe didn't show her and Max any secret rooms or passageways. 

    After the basic tour of the castle, it was time for lunch. Max looked super disoriented, and Amira embarrassingly was feeling a bit turned around herself. The Ravenclaw ran into Fred Weasley at lunch, but Amira's other friends were nowhere to be found. 

    "Hello," Fred said when they approached him. 

    "Hi," Amira replied. "How's your day been going?"

    "Fine, fine. You?"

    Chloe glared at Fred. "We're fine. Come on Amira let's eat." She dragged Amira as far away from Fred as they could get. 

Amira glanced at Max for help, but he just looked at her sympathetically and sat down next to Fred. I'm going to kill you, Amira mouthed.

    "Chloe?" Amira said once her arm had been freed.

    "Hum?" Chloe mumbled, her mouth already full of food.

    "Chloe! What's your problem with Fred?"

    "I don't have a problem with Fred." 

    "I think I'm in Ravenclaw for a reason," Amira said. "Now what's your problem with Fred?"

    "He's only just the most annoying, irresponsible, immature boy in our year. He's asked me out about a million times, and he still hasn't given up after I've said no about a million times."

    "Yeah I see why you find him annoying," Amira laughed. "I guess now would be as good a time as any to tell you I agreed to let him give me another tour of the castle later today. He was going to show me some secret passages."

    "Of course he was. Be careful though, he loves pulling pranks on people, usually at their expense."

    "Noted: beware of pranks. Luckily there aren't very many people in the castle so if I do get pranked it won't be that bad."

    After lunch, Chloe went to grab coats for herself and Amira while Amira talked to Fred. Amira and Fred planned to meet in the entrance hall at four o'clock. Then Amira found Max, who was talking to Vick and went to meet Chloe for their outdoor tour. 

    The Hogwarts grounds were beautiful, but Ilvermorny's were better. Amira was disappointed to find out that students weren't allowed in the (Forbidden) Forest, unlike at Ilvermorny which only had a small part of the forest that was forbidden to students. The Black Lake reminded Amira of the Shrouded Lake back at Ilvermorny, but Amira didn't think the Shrouded Lake had a giant squid or merpeople, though Ilvermorny did have creatures in the lake they called naiads. 

    After the walk outside Amira had some time before she had to meet Fred so she decided to try to find Julián. Chloe offered to lead her to the Hufflepuff common room, and so the two girls set off. Not long after Amira and Choe got to the Hufflepuff common room a third year boy came out, and Amira asked him to see if Julián was inside so she could talk to him. Luckily Julián was there, and he came out when he saw Amira and Chloe standing by the door.
