A warm ray of light poured through the bedroom window and onto the two sleeping figures in bed. Birds tweeted softly outside, indicating that morning had come. You stirred slowly awake, squinting from the sudden brightness of the room. Yawning, you turn to face the sleeping figure next to you.

Eric was sound asleep, not bothered at all by the rays of the sun or the chirping of the birds. His expression was relaxed, much different from his daily anxious frowns. You watch silently, admiring every perfection and imperfection. You smile, raising your hand to run your finger through his black curls. His hair felt soft has a cloud, and smelled like vanilla. You twirled a small section of locks around your fingers.

Eric stirred, opening his eyes slowly. He stared at you, then closed his eyes again, smiling. A mutter escaped his lips, which you only assumed was a very low 'good morning.' You giggled, which caused Eric to blush lightly. "Good morning, sleepyhead," you whispered.

Eric squirmed, hiding his face from your view. You giggle again, wrapping your arm around Eric's frame. You watched as he peeked through his fingers. "G-Good morning, (Y/N)," Eric mumbled, face feeling hot. You grinned, scooting closer to place a kiss on one of Eric's hands, which was still covering his face. He squirmed again, making high-pitched squeals. You giggled, holding Eric close to you. Oh, how you loved mornings like these.
