This time, I stayed alert, not letting my mind wander. As krept through the silent woods I listened intently to everything around me. The chirping of the birds the trickling sound of the many brooks that ran through W.O.R.L.D. I looked into the sky, it was about noon, from the looks of it. My journey continued on and on until about 3:00. I did not dare chance a rest until later in the day. I sat  down under a fig tree. Digging  through the contents of my  bag  I took out some dried orc meat and, deftly chewed on it, Thinking about what I would do next. I needed shelter for the night, but I also had to go and visit Aien. As I was thinking about this, I heard a  scream, and a small figure came running out of the woods. It was a small warlock, her long, white hair trailing behind her, as she sprinted, right into me. I shrieked and toppled into the tree, In the process, knocking over all of my supplies. I sat up, and was face to face with the warlock child.

“What the Hell are you doing here?” I hissed.

She was shaking so bad that she could barely reply. “Hu-hu-hu-nt-tt ing gob-b-blins”

“Why in Wichevale would you do that!” I said.

“They were at-t camp-p, My Si-s-ster.” she paused here and burst into tears. “Shes g-gone!”  “Goblins are after m-me!” Now at this point I felt pretty sorry for her, and I could not allow another delay to getting back to Aien. (And eating supper, or whatever kind of supper I can make, with orc meat and whatever else I find.) So, after picking up whatever I could salvage from the bag, I grabbed the child by the arm and started sprinting across the field. About 30 minutes later we were breathing hard, but approaching the tree. I looked back at the little girl, who was slightly falling behind. The goblins were right behind us, I ran back, Picked her up, and then ran headlong into the tree. I could hear her gasp as we passed through the surface and toppled into the hole, and landed right on top of Aein. He let out an oomf, and looked up at me. Visibly he looked a lot better. The greenish tint was gone from his skin, His eyes weren't as glassy and glazed over as they had been before. And his grip on my arms was strong and sure. Then he glanced over at the warlock child, and made a confused face.

“Why is she here?” he hissed.

But before I could reply I heard an angry scream from outside. The sound of a hunter losing its prey.

“Crap, I forgot about the goblins.” We were silent for what seemed like forever, Waiting and watching for any sound of the  goblins. At last, I could climb out of the hole and peek my head through the tree, There were no goblins, But it was growing dark. I  called down that I was going to go and hunt, And crawled my way out of the tree. Darkness was settling across the W.O.R.L.D. I could see the smoke of many campfires and the sound of laughter in the air. This was the time that everybody could have no worries. But everybody knew not to stay out past 7, because, 7 was when the nightmares came out. Right now it was about 6:30, and I had to get going it was going to be hard to hunt and be back again, by 7:00. I sprinted away from the woody clearing and into the fields beyond. Cicadas chirped and I could hear rustling noises of little white topeazes (a tiny goat like squirrel thing.) Flirting with each other and running playfully around in the trees.  I ran to the brook that I had crossed earlier, and searched around in the bracken surrounding  it. I  didn’t expect to find anything but medicinal herbs there, but…

“Yes!” I whisper shouted, and pulled at the spindly creature that was flopping around in the mud. I grimaced, “Jesus this is disgusting.” I took one last look at the ugly spindle legged creature and shoved it into my bag. I crept farther into the W.D.S ( the governments name for the woods.) Hiding in the shadows, looking for fresh meat.
