Chapter 20

Hermione and Ron were sitting peacefully on the couch in the Gryffindor common room talking quietly in the somewhat crowded area. They had been working on being truthful about their feelings with each other, and much to Ron's surprise, it actually was helping their relationship. It had been a long day for both of them and they were happy to just sit together in warm silence.

That is until Harry walked in.

He frantically came through the portrait hole and sat himself between Ron and Hermione. His face was red and he was slightly short of breath, and his hair was sticking out in all different directions (worse than usual).

"You will never believe what just happened," Harry said.

Hermione smirked a bit and looked at Ron, who was staring at Harry in disbelief. "What?"

Harry smiled. "I was telling Draco about going back to my aunt and uncle's and he said he might come with me. It'll be great!"

"He offered to go with you?" Ron asked.

Harry nodded. "Well, I kind of planted the idea but I think he'll come along. And guess what else?"

Hermione laughed and Ron said 'what else?' before Harry jumped off of the couch in excitement. "He seemed so concerned that I was going back. Like he really cares about what will happen there! Isn't this great news?"

"It is great news, Harry. But do you think it's good for him to go there?" Hermione said, slightly hesitant.

Harry's smile faltered. "What d'you mean?"

Hermione sighed. "Well, it's just...you know how Malfoy is."

"Yeah, and?" Harry said, starting to get a bit irritated.

Hermione glanced at Ron hoping he would have caught on, and thankfully for Hermione, he did. "Mate, Malfoy's rude and snobbish and he's very narcissistic and if he insults the Dursleys who do you think that will fall on?"

"You guys think the Dursleys will hurt me for bringing Draco? Well I don't really care. It'll be nothing I'm not used to anyway" said Harry.

"Please don't be like that, Harry. We're worried for you. Last time you saw them-"

"Last time I saw them it was awkward and quiet and my cousin even told me he didn't mind my company. Now that they're back in the house I want to go and get something important to me, and if Draco decides to come than he will."

With that, Harry stormed up the stairs to the boys' dormitory and slammed the door. Hermione gave Ron a worried look. He moved closer to her and wrapped an arm around here shoulders. "Don't worry, Mione. He'll come around."

"And if he doesn't?" she said, looking up at Ron. He leaned down and pecked her lips softly, reassuringly. 

"He's Harry. Everything will be okay."

"Harry!"

Harry stopped walking and turned around to see Draco Malfoy briskly walking toward him. "Hi," Harry said shortly.

Draco frowned. "What's wrong?"

Harry shook his head and continued walking faster. "Nothing. Don't worry about it."

Draco sped up to match his speed. "Have I done something?"

"No, it's not you. I had an argument with Ron and Hermione earlier."

"About what?" Draco asked.

Harry looked up at Draco and slowed down slightly. "You,"

Draco stopped, causing Harry to stop a few steps ahead of him and turn around confused. "So what? They force me and you together and then try to convince you I'm no good?"

Harry shook his head. "That's not what happened,"

"I'm sure it's not. What about me then?"

Harry opened his mouth but nothing came out. How can he say this without hurting his feelings? "Listen, Draco, they're my friends. They don't want anything bad to happen to me."

"Oh, now I'm going to hurt you? I'm not quite sure I follow..." Draco said, being very passive aggressive. 

Harry rolled his eyes. "Fine! They don't want you coming with me back home. They think you might say something to the Dursleys and they'll take it out on me. But I already told them I don't care."

Draco swallowed. "You don't care?" Harry shook his head. Draco stepped closer to him and took his chin in his hand, tilting it up. "Good. Because I've decided to come with you."

"Really?" Harry said, his bad mood lifting instantly.

"Yes," said Draco. "When are we leaving?"

"I want to go tomorrow. I've had my things packed for a while now. Is that okay?" Harry said.

Draco kissed Harry slowly and said, "Whatever you want, baby" in a low, husky voice that sent Harry's hormones through the roof and a burning sensation arose in his stomach as Draco kissed him again, capturing his tongue and biting his bottom lip.

Draco walked Harry back until they hit the corridor wall and kissed him with more energy. He started to move his hips against Harry's and Harry couldn't help but let a little moan escape from his mouth. He pulled away from the blond and quickly looked around. "Not here, Draco. We're in the middle of the school, anyone could walk by."

"Nobody's walking around the school at this hour, Harry." Draco said, lowering his head to kiss Harry again, but Harry pulled his head away.

"We were. And besides, I'm getting tired. If we're leaving tomorrow we should both be well rested." Harry said reasonably.

Draco smirked. "I know something that'll make me well rested,"

Harry chuckled and hit Draco's shoulder. "I'm serious. You should get to bed,"

"Come to bed with me. No one will even know what we're doing. A few good charms and poof, no one hears a thing." Draco said, going in for a kiss but yet again, Harry dodges it. 

"I'll tell you what; after we get back from the Dursleys we can have all the fun we want, but until then, I'm going to bed and so are you. Merlin knows we'll both need the energy to put up with them," Harry said, smiling stupidly into Draco's eyes.

Draco scowled and narrowed his eyes at Harry. "You promise you'll fuck me so hard I won't be able to walk?"

"Draco!"

"Promise?" he pushed, laughing at Harry's shocked expression.

Harry kissed Draco on the lips quickly and lightly. "Promise." he said, walking back to the Gryffindor common room.
