"Are you kidding me?" Draco groaned loudly as he read Harry's note.

"What?" Pansy said, skipping over to him and peeking over his shoulder.

Draco turned around to face the group. "Harry says he's okay and to go back to school. He's with my mother at the Leaky Cauldron."

Hermione smiled. "Oh, well that's good isn't it? Why do you look so upset?"

"And how can you read that handwriting? It's awful..." Pansy chipped in as she scanned through the note.

Draco pushed her away. "Shove off, Pansy. I'm not upset it's just...Granger, you said my father took him."

Hermione nodded. "He did."

"Then how is he with my mum near Diagon Alley?" Draco questioned.

"Don't start with her, Malfoy." Ron said, picking up on the tone of Draco's voice. "I'm sure there's an explanation for all this."

Draco huffed and shoved the letter in his pocket. He turned around and faced the jet-black manor in front of them. "We came all the way here for nothing. What a waste of time."

"Let's just go back to Hogwarts, now that we know he's fine." Pansy said, grabbing Draco's arm and pulling back to where Hermione and Ron were standing with Blaise.

"No," Draco started. "You lot go on, I have to sneak inside. Harry wants me to write back."

"Why d'you have to sneak into your own house?" Ron questioned.

"Shut up, Weaslebee. Just go back to school, I'll meet you in a bit." Draco said. He turned to face the others, who were all looking at him expectantly. He shook his head at them, and finally, with a wary glance to each other, Hermione, Ron, Blaise and Pansy disappeared.

Draco turned around and walked up the long driveway. How was he going to get in without his father seeing him? If he was caught, Lucius would know he went looking for Harry and Draco could easily picture what would happen to him.

He walked around the side of the house to where a small door was built into the structure. It was very tiny, but it led straight into the library, and Draco knew that nobody's stepped foot in there in years. He used to hide in the passageway when he was younger to get away from Lucius on his bad days...anyways.

He turned the latch sideways to unlock the door and it slowly swung open on its hinges. He stuck his head inside and looked around. It smelled like rotten dirt and there were cobwebs all over the place, and Draco couldn't tell but there were probably hundreds of dead bugs through it. He scrunched his face up in disgust and hesitantly squeezed his upper half through.

He could just barely fit inside; if he were any wider he might've gotten stuck inside. He started to crawl forward through the tunnel as quickly as he could. The less time he was in here, the better. He finally got to the other end of the tunnel and fumbled with the lock. He hoped and prayed that Lucius wouldn't be sitting in the library. It would be just his luck for that to happen.

He very slowly opened the door as to make as little noise as possible. He peered through the small gap he created, and when he saw no signs of movement, he pushed the door open a bit wider and clambered out onto the cold, wooden floor.

His heart was beating rapidly and he quickly sat down at an old desk to start writing his response to Harry. He was scribbling so fast that he could barely make out what he wanted to say. Once he finished, he gave the parchment to the owl who delivered Harry's and quickly went back to the tunnel. He had to go in backwards this time so that he could close and lock the door. How fun.
