Jennie clicked her tongue when she saw him on the doorway.
"I uh, can't seem to find it... where do you say you keep it again?" Jongin grinned, rubbing the back of his neck.
"If you just let me look for it myself-"
"No, no! Just stay here," he quickly held her to make her sit still. "I'll look for it again," he said, before disappearing again going inside.
"It's on the desk! In my room!" she exclaimed to him.
Jennie rolled her eyes, couldn't help but letting out an amused chuckle over his antics. It wasn't a minute later before he showed up again, finally with her tab on his hand.
"What do you mean 'on your desk'?" he muttered, his brows knitted grumpily. Giving the tab to her, he said, "I found it on your bed instead."
"Really? I must have forgotten then," she mumbled, unlocking her tab and went straight to the gallery.
He sighed dramatically, watching her as her finger rapidly scrolled the screen. "You sent me on a goose chase there, Jennie."
Tilted her head facing him, her eyes looked at him with a fake pity. "Well I'm sorry, you could've just let me look for it by myself then," she said, chuckling a little when she saw him frowned.
"What do you mean? You're still sick, you shouldn't be standing too much. What if you lose your balance and faint again without me knowing?" he argued. "In fact, you shouldn't even be out here in the first place. It's cold tonight, we should go inside," he said, secretly eyeing her silk pajamas and flimsy night robe that would be most definitely useless in a cold weather like this.
"It's fine, it's not that cold now since the snow had melted," she simply answered, still scrolling her tab.
Sighing hardly, Jongin said, "Wait a sec," before going back inside again.
This time, he was gone longer. Jennie could hear the sound of the frontdoor being opened before he appeared again before her, handing her a padded jacket. "Wear this," he ordered.
"This is Lisa's," Jennie muttered, but did as she was told nevertheless.
"Whatever. I only found that one hanging on the coat stand," he replied, taking a seat beside her. "At least it's better than your thin robe- oh, hold this too," he put a heating pad on her palm.
Jennie raised her brow, eyeing the small device he gave her. "Where did you get this?"
"Uh... I always keep one in my car," he said, rubbing his hands, feeling a bit nervous. "Just hold it, okay? It will keep you warm."
"You're like an overly nagging grandma there, Jongin," she commented, couldn't help but feel overjoyed... perhaps? She didn't even know what to feel either, after knowing that he went to his car in the parking lot just to get her a heating pad. From the highest floor in the building, down to the basement. Just for her.
Before he could argue again to what she said, Jennie handed the tab back to him. "While you're gone, I really scrolled until the first picture in the gallery. Look."
"Huh?" Jongin frowned upon seeing the screen. "What... what am I supposed to look at?"
"It's just a black and white picture," he muttered, his eyes scanning the screen to find anything that she's trying to show him.
Jennie let out a laugh upon seeing his innocent expression. "It's not a regular black and white picture, you know. That, Kim Jongin," she pointed at one part of the screen that looked like a circle, "is your daughter."
